Then turn the paper around and print 2 more--pick anything you want.. Make very sure the ink is dry before printing on the second half!!
I have put a small picture in some of the cut out windows which can be cut out and also used as a magnet square-- good for posting notes on the fridge!!
I've tried to use mostly lighter colors
as they print better with WebTV and they use less ink. I have found that Web TV
prints extremely well on Magnetic Paper, even the darker colors.
IMPORTANT
Make sure you have "Print Background"
checked in Printer Options.
Several people have said they use the frames for framing pictures in a scrapbook also. I've had requests for 5x7 and 8x10 frames to mat pictures and hope to have some up soon.
I have made matching cards to print out
for some of the frames--mostly the
holiday ones. What a nice
way to send a picture to a loved one--
frame and all. Just click on "Matching
Card" and it's there to print!! You'll
have to scroll down to see the front of
the card--it's at the bottom of the
page. Again, make sure your Print
Backgound option is on.
And a few of
them have a matching T-Shirt Transfer!!
SUPPLIES
I've been asked about the paper by
several people so I'm adding this. You
can buy Magnetic Paper made especially
for inkjet printers. It is available at
most office supply stores such as
Staples; computer centers like Best Buy;
and department stores such as Wal Mart.
I use the Avery brand and it
prints a very nice picture, even with
WebTV's limitations. I'm researching
other outlets for magnetic sheets, but I
haven't found any that compare.
Transfer Paper for T-Shirts you can find in most department stores and online. There are many different brands and I've had good luck with most of them.
!!BE CREATIVE!!
Try using Pinking scissors for a different effect-- or you might have a pair of scissors that cuts scalloped edges--they're available at some craft shops. I find that using a razor blade and a ruler cuts a much better straight edge then scissors.
?? DON'T HAVE MAGNET PAPER ??
Here is a tip sent to me by "Bern", a fellow webbie. I've tried it, and it makes a nice looking frame for the fridge without having to have magnetic sheets; and it's a lot less expensive!!
Print the frames on any kind of heavy weight paper you have available, such as card stock.Cut out the frame and if you'd like you can spray it with a clear gloss which you can find at crafts store; or you can leave it plain. Cut a picture to fit the window of the frame and glue it to the back of the frame. Cut another piece of paper the size of the frame, and glue it on top of the picture. Just a regular glue stick works fine. Cut the frame with scalloped edged or pinking scissors for a nice finished look. Then glue little magnet strips on the back; in the center, and at the top and bottom. That's it!! You have a frame and picture for the refigerater
