Our Percheron colt

We went to an auction recently to see if we could find some tack and equipment for our horses. Little did we know that we would find another horse to bring home. The bidding started at $200.00 so I put in a bid. Five minutes later I had a horse and a thinner checkbook. I really didn't think we would get it, but I'm glad we did. He was foaled in Manitoba Canada in April 1998. He came to the states around September and spent most of his time moving from sale barn to sale barn. He now is in a loving home where he will get good care and lots of attention. He doesn't spook and can be caught easily, so we think he was handled from birth. We believe he will make a nice addition to the herd.
My wife says I can't go to any more auctions because it costs us money. You never know when you will find a bargain. I think we got one. Below are some pictures of him. Click on his pictures to see the full size image. We have a good friend who is a school teacher in Georgia. She had her class submit some names for our boy. We decided on Shananigans. We think it's a fitting name for him. Thanks to Wanda English and her class for the names. ideas we would like to hear them.
