  CLSG J-Soc

Our sister school CLSG also has a thriving J-Soc, with the rather peculiar name of "The Not Necessarily Jewish Society" (girls, eh!?) under the command of the enthusiastic Miriam Feldmann. So, this page has been made by them, because they haven't got their own website! It's not quite as good as the rest of the site, but it's nice to know that at least they're trying.

Rejuvenated and refurbished; recommitted and re-committeed; we educate; we excite; we provide all kids of opportunities for the lucky members of our school!

We are not religionist - everybody is as welcome as each other - hence our name 'Not Necessarily Jewish'; as it is our purpose to be an 'Or La Goyim' - a 'Light unto the Nations', and to set the example of how beneficial being Jewish is to our Lives.

We are not ageist - teachers come as well. We listen to the needs and aspirations of younger girls; if they say 'food', then food it is!

On our amazing committee, we have different people in each area. For example, finance, practicalities, and media. Jewish Chronicle - watch out!

Bursting with bubbliness, emerging enthusiasm, we have ambitious ideas up our sleeves, bound to interest and appeal to all.

Every Thursday morning, at Jewish assembly, we have top speakers from diverse areas and backgrounds, talking about wide-ranging topics, from Aliya to Anti-Semitism, from Arabs to Assimilation, from Ethics to Existence of G-d, from Festivals to Fallen Israeli soldiers, from Kibbutz to Kashrut, from Men in Black to Medical ethics, from Summer schemes to Shtetl Jewry, from Welfare to Women, and from Year-off schemes to Yiddish! There is definitely something for you! If you would like to come and inspire our weekly 150 people, or be he 151st - you're welcome!

In conjunction with the schnauzers of City boys, we have proven to be the J-Soc. that would make you go to great lengths to be part of us (like change schools if you're not at city already!)
We still don't know how the boys run their half so efficiently with minimal stress and anxiety, while we put our entire lives into it want to show us some tricks, boys? (On second thoughts, with the likes of Schaffer, Koppleman, and Marks, it's probably not such a good idea!)

Have a look through our committee and please email us with your first impressions, thoughts, wishes, criticisms (unlikely), aspirations etc
