Beef Chili

2 cloves garlic, minced
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 4 oz. can stewed tomatoes
1 cup beef stock
1/2 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

In a large skillet, slowly brown the garlic and onions in olive oil; stir and cook until tender. Raise heat, add mean and cook until done. Add all other ingredients. Cover and reduce heat. Cook about 45 minutes more.
