~ Fancy E-mail Tricks for WebTV ~

With the following codes you will be able to use images to decorate your e-mail like fancy stationary.

I will show you how to place an image or bar above the message area.

Place an image or bar above the header (addresses).

Put an image or bar above the header AND a small image on each side of the header!
NOTE: Side images should not excede 50 pixels wide by 100 pixels high.

Have an image or bar above the message area AND above he header!

How about a vertical border image down the left side OR a vertical border image down both sides!

Bordered backgrounds do not work well in e-mail because there is no way to type in the message area and keep the text off of the borders.
Not so with the vertical gif! Now you can have a border and the text will not "run over" the border!! Neat huh?

NOTE: Vertical gifs should not be over 30 pixels wide and 400 to 600 in height.

Pretty lines and bars make nice vertical border gifs when rotated at one of the image tool sites.

All codes are done with HTML. The only trick is where the code is placed!
NOTE: This only works after e-mail is Sent! Images will be at the bottom of page while you are writiing the message.Once you hit the send key, and your message arrives... all of the little buggers pop-up into place!! Send one to yourself to test it.

This does not work in news group posts ;-(

ALL CODES ARE TO BE PLACED IN SIG BOX: right AFTER the CLOSING BODY tag and BEFORE the CLOSING HTML tag

Remove ??? marks and fill in with your image URL and sizes. Just highlight, copy and paste the codes.
