SuMmEr 1999, baby!
Well, it's that time of year again...school is back in session...now I must tell a little bit about what my summer was like.
I guess you could say my summer started on May 18. (the last day of school for seniors! woohoo!) I didn't really do much before graduation...other than going to Paramounts Carowinds in Charlotte, North Carolina on May 22. On May 23, I went to Glendale, South Carolina to see my friend Charles Billingsley do a concert. Graduation was on May 25. (YAY BUDDY!) I didn't really party much, just went to a party my friends parents through for us at the Hickory Tavern Rec Center. I left for senior week at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on May 29.
We stayed at Myrtle Beach until June 5. During that week we just hung out at the strip, went to Hard Rock Cafe, the Pavilion, and junk like that. We even managed to catch Episode 1 when we were there. We had a whole, whole lot of fun though!
On June 12, I went back to Carowinds with my family. June 18, we went up to Kannapolis, North Carolina to see my friend Charles do another concert. My little sister and I went to Lifeway Christian Supply early in the morning on June 25 to see Steven Curtis Chapman do an instore concert. Later that night some friends and I took of to the movies to see Austin Powers:The Spy Who Shagged Me. June 26, my mom, sister, and I traveled back up to Carowinds for Shout '99 where we saw The Supertones and many other bands perform. On June 27 my family traveled back to Myrtle Beach for a week. (It wasn't near as much fun as senior week, but I still had fun!)
On July 2, we left Myrtle Beach and headed to Hampton, Virginia. We had fun there too, but I was sooooooo ready to get home! We came home on July 4. (woohoo HoLiDaY!!) We even got home in time to catch some fireworks here!! A few friends and I went out to see Wild Wild West on July 5. We basically just hung out the whole day and talked. :0) July 9 & 10 our youth group had a sleepover at some friends house at Lake Greenwood. (LOL my friends dad made me go fishing...what a sight! LOL) Little did I know, my summer was ending quickly!! My mom called on July 14 and got my lazy tail out of bed and said I had a job at her work and started the next day. I worked Mon-Fri from 8-5. On July 15, besides starting work, my ball tournament started. We lost the game that night! :0( On the 16th we won our game!!! That meant on the 17th we had to get up really early we ended up playing 4 games that day!!! (first was at 10 am...last started at like 5) We ended up coming home with 2nd place tournament trophy and 3rd place for the season! (softball started in like May...we had games Mon, Tue, and Thur every week!) After the games were over some friends and I went out for supper. It would've been fun if I would not have felt so sick! On the 24 & 25 I went to Spartanburg to see my friend Russ Lee (formerly of Newsong) do two concerts. On the 31st, I went up to King, North Carolina to see Snack Pax and All-Conference Ninnies do a show. I had sooooo much fun! I spent the night at the lead singer from Snack Pax house. (Me and all the guys from both bands....lol poor me the only girl!! other than Matt's mom, my mom, and my lil sis!)
After coming home from Matt's on Aug 1, I went and hung out with friends and stuff. (I left Matt's early that morning was home by lunch time...) I even got my computer I am taking to school...(woohoo my very own...means my bro and sis can't touch it!) On August 6, I went down to Augusta, Georgia to see Newsong play. It was soooooo awesome!!! On the 7th, my family and I went back to Carowinds. The schools here started back on the 10th. (man, I am glad I graduated!) On the 10th, a group of us went to see Run Away Bride as kind of a last time get together before we all depart for college!!!
