The Union and the Confederacy're still out there, fightin' a war that neither side can win. They both got "special divisions" that hunt down all the supernatural nasties roamin' the Weird West. The Rangers are the Southern half of the equation, a hard-bit group o' gunfighters and ghost-breakers protectin' the world against all things dark and dangerous. It's no surprise that they would come to Gomorra eventually; with the things we got runnin' around here, we sure as hell need 'em. This town may be goin' to hell in a bucket, but the Rangers are here to make sure we take a few demons with us.

Notes: This deck is pretty simple. Load up your spellcasters. Use the Call Weathers and Stampedes to prevent dudes from moving to Town Square. Then use your home card ability to bypass the movement restriction, play Any One of Ya! as it comes into your hand, and get free Victory Points. Use the Curses and Run Outta Towns to get rid of your opponent's influence, and the Sheriff's Watchin' and Call Weather for defence. This deck can choke once in a while, but almost always works effectively.

Notes: Inquest have just published a Girls with Guns deck. This is mainly an excuse for some jokes which were funny enough but the deck itself is not playable - for one thing it contains no deeds.
The deck below is my stab at a cheesecake deck. The dudes are all dames and the deeds are mostly saloons and brothels. It's a reasonable shootout deck and should have fairly good cash flow - allowing you to play a steady stream of CP deeds and influence.
I recommend starting with Camille and Elizabeth. This gives you low exposure to nasty events and leaves you a large pile of cash. Elizabeth's ability lets you bring in drifters at a discount and don't forget Cassidy's other ability too. This leaves lots of money for playing deeds.
Rachel Sumner didn't make the cut but you might substitute her for Sheila Mirabella if you think you can afford her. Myself, I think that Sheila is more attractive and she's a good little earner.
So have fun and don't forget to Take Precautions ...

Notes: The deck works (just) by using Katie Karl to play Walkin Dead/crawlers for free (Later on using Golden Mare and Deadland to gain 6 Ghostrock from playing one) Then getting the pointless little things into stupid shootouts (kidnapping etc.) then following that up with a take ya with me/stray lead... Though when the chips are down, the Rangers can just about hold their own in a shootout (Assuming there ain't no cheatin' cards flying around...) Basically, it's not a good deck. Can anyone find a way to improve it?.
N.B. This deck is weaker now than it might have been because the Walking Dead have become unique with the Pine Box version.

Notes: Basically start getin all hexes on Bobo and Spirits on Jack. Start churning out those chronos, and keep them on one or two guys who stay at home. Bobo can speed of the wolf and Rails around town, puppeting, and texas twisting all influence dudes. Then move dudes to control point deeds. One of the major selling points is that with 4 chronos and Bartholomew, you can get 6 turns at once. With new science magazine to get the chronos, Ray Gun, and Holy Wheel, you can kill a terror, twist or puppet a couple of dudes, and ready the ray gun in a shootout for a three stud, six with bolts o doom, and save him with medicine or helpin hand. There are some new spells out now with MoH, and there may be some better choices that I don't know of. Also a shadow walk may be a good idea. If Bobo does die, try using the Pox Walker. money should not be a problem.

Put out in-town control deeds and gather it up (since they are shut down). Works pretty well .. has good numbers to stand up in shootouts .. Worked great for me .. getting 2nd in Madman's Secret.

Notes: I started with Pox Walker instead of Danny and his friend the Wisp in earlier version but the income was to low. Give Bobo as many Bolts as you can and don't forget the shotgun. Let Barthalomew produce Elixiers like hell (with help from Bob and his shop) and the Sonic Destabilization Ray to support the shotgun or Pox Walker. That Pox Walker benefits also in another kind from Mr. Prospectus should be a common fact by now :-)
If Bobo should die early give the Sabre to another stud (Frank, Danny or J.P.) and give him the bolts. Don't ask me why there is no Los Ojos del Dios, I can't decide which card to take out and he's not that important to the deck being no stud.

Notes: That was the guts, here's the glory. Usual starting dudes are indicated, these may change depending on the opposing outfit.
The deck's all about booting those opposing dudes and then Bushwhacking them (some glory eh?). An ideal start is to have a Bushwhack in your hand and a Christmas Day in your Lowball hand. Use the Ranger ability to move the Wisp to your opponent's home, use Barts reaction, and then use the Wisp to boot a chosen dude (either 'hard as nails' geezer (eg. Black Jack) or 'vital to deck' wuss (e.g. Avarice). Then, as you can't be called out, move Kara into his home and Bushwhack chosen dude. 36 of the cards in the deck are value 8 or higher, so against a shootout deck (i.e. generally low values), you should do well. Against high pull decks there are enough bullet enhancing cards to give Kara or Mr Slate the edge. But!...there are 8 Aces in the deck. That means at the start of the game there is a 1 in 6 chance of you pulling one...<shrug>...shit happens! Those Christmas Days are essential to protect your dudes while they go about their business, so it's worth it. As they ace themselves, it's not too bad. They also mean Bart can bring in a gadget for free during the turn, which is a big help.
On to the rest of the deck...the Good Stiff Drink is either for the Wisp to boot 2 dudes or even better to let the Pox Walker reduce a dude's value by 6 (ouch! that's gotta hurt). Nothin' special about the Deeds...rock & control. The position of backup Mad goes to Prof Susan Franklin, +1 income can't be argued with. Nash is there in case the Bushwhacks don't show and you want to start a fight...you have plenty of ways to boot dudes, so they'll have to accept his call out. Basil in particular can keep even the toughest dudes booted while you wait for the Bushwhacks. Becky provides much needed influence and the all important defence against the Ghost. Danny does his two step with the Wisp (courtesy of the Dave Arlington book of neat tricks), Bobo keeps those nasty little Huckster types in check, and the Werewolf...well he just does what he does best.
Always try and keep Elixirs on Bart and the Wisp...they're pretty important to the game plan. And Mr Slate with a Ray Gun...nuff said.
With all those high values, you'll pull a non-cheatin full house maybe 50% of the time with a 2 Stud, 1 Draw, so don't be too afraid of shootouts(another good reason for the Christmas Days). Jackelopes can cause problems, but I've never lost more than 2 cards at a time.
Suggestions welcome as ever...send me a telegram

Notes: This deck is pretty straightforward to play. Just move your guys around and never ever hesitate to call out. Your whole deck is made with 6s, 7s and 9s. You will fear the cheatin' cards but you are definitely superior in shootout, drawing at least a full house. Five of a kind are very common hands.
The actions cards allow you to move quickly. You also abuse of Bad Tequila which helps you to maintain control of the big shooters who are often not good at influence (Tombstone Frank and Tioga Joe for example). Extortion is a card I've been testing and it works. By moving around quickly, you are sure to use efficiently this card. Trust me, it works.
The Pistol Whip and the Take Cover are just strong cards in shootout, especially the Take Cover, which makes your dudes invicible (try to beat a 4 of a kind with a 3 rank superior hand :-) )
Then you have 2 Forcelosure, just to scare your opponent. He just have to know that you can use those cheatin' cards. There's no need of the Rattlesnake bites that I used to play. You almost always win the shootouts.
Have fun :-)
