Green-skinned and foul-smelling, Greedo always wanted to be a bounty hunter. But this Rodian just went after the wrong man in the wrong cantina on the wrong day to collect his bounty.
Greedo had large multifaceted purple eyes, spines on his skull, and a tapirlike nose, just like the others of his species. They are from the planet Rodia in the Tyrius star system where bounty hunting is a noble profession.
The Rodian was taken under the wing of Spurch "Warhog" Goa, a Diollan bounty hunter, who brought him to Tatooine where he applied for a job with Jabba.
Greedo had had run-ins with Han Solo and Chewbacca before, so there was already hostility between them. At first Jabba awarded Greedo an exclusive contract on Solo's head. But nervous little Greedo let the Corellian walk away from two encounters, after which the Hutt opened up the hunt and raised the bounty.
Greedo finally confronted Solo in the Mos Eisley cantina. After exchanging words, and Solo once again promising to pay Jabba back, Greedo badly aimed missing Solo. Solo fired back, killing him.
But Greedo's death didn't go unoticed. The bartender, Wuher, gound up Greedo's body and used it in a potent new liquor.
