        Summery, History, Other Happenings

People live in the house now as far as I know. But there are a lot of spooky houses up there in New England, some folks LIKE to live in them! We have talked about going to the house to talk to the people there now, BUT none of us want to get near the place! I was just back up there last Aug. & kidding with my brother (who only spent one night there) I asked if he wanted to drive by it, NO he didn't care to. (me neither!)

As to what was there well.......I know that it was evil and it hated us all, this we got from the ouija board and all the awful things we experienced. It might have been more that one thing. We heard growling, felt cold air, smelled rotten meat, heard terribly loud banging and crashing in all walls & rooms, cellar, and attic. There was a presence named Serenda who came to play with the youngest child at night. Not the baby the 3 year old. He was so young that he really couldn't tell us what was happing at the time. But he still remembers and when he was about 10 years old he started telling us what had happened to him there. Also our behavior changed after being there a couple months. We became very hateful towards each other. Dog and cats were tossed around in the air. We had a cat who every night after my sister would give her toddler a bath & before the water emptied out of the tub, you would hear him screach, then plop into the bath water he would go! I could go on, but you get the picture.

We did find out a few interesting things about the house/family/neighborhood. The house was built in 1952 by our landlords father, who was deceased. His mother was commited to a mental ward for years. He had had a 16 year old sister who had died in the 60's in a car crash. (We lived there in 1982). The street had about ten houses on it all, while not to the "T", pretty much the same old Cape Cod style from that era. Five of them had these weird ceramic cats screwed to the front outside wall, ours too. Three of these cats were white, two black ours was black. We only talked to one neighbor, across the street. Never saw the rest. She had bought her house five years before and said that nobody had ever stayed for more than three months in our house, in all those years.

She also showed my sister some weird thing about her house. Starting at the front door on the celeing & going all through the house up to the top floor bedroom, then down the wall to the window, were what looked like shoeprints! She had painted three times and they were still there! She said she had talked to some of the neighbors who had since moved, and she seemed to think there was some type of witch/coven/devil worship thing going on in this neigorborhood in the past! I really don't know what it was except that I wished I'd have never had this experience and could still scoff at people who "belived in ghosts".

The youngest person in the house was Todel a 4 year old pre-schooler. He is now 20 years old. At that time he was afraid to sleep in a room by himself after a few weeks upon moving into the house. He told us that "the mean lady Serenda would make him play at night", anyway he ended up sleeping in his parents bed the remainder of our time in the house. As he got older and able to articulate better here is what he said happened to him. (he never lost his memory of this) After he would be asleep in his room (this is the same room as Missy's Closet) a women who was (to him) very old looking with her mouth sewed up with black thred, wearing ragged black clothing would wake him up. She spoke to him, he could hear her, but her mouth never moved. She demanded they play with his toys for hours (it seemed to him) at a time. If he got tired and wanted to sleep she would yell and scream at him to" play play play" . She told him her name was Senrenda and his mom & dad hated him but she loved him, that's why she wanted to play with him and his toys all night. Every morning my sister would find his toys on the floor. The poor kid would sleep all day until my sister moved him into her room. One time we were all sitting in the living room with a fire going in the fireplace, we heard a termendous crash come from the fire place. Todel older brother (about 10 years old) look into his eyes and ran screaming from the room! When all had calmed down the older brother said when he looked in Todel's eyes he saw an ugly old woman in them! With his eyes shinning red from the fireplace light!........allright
