On December 13th, 2001 the world lost one of its most gifted musicians to cancer. Chuck Schuldiner, guitarist and vocalist of Death, touched the lives of thousands of fans and musicians. Without the amazing guitar playing on the Death albums, I can't say for sure if I would be where I am today. If there was anything certain in the metal scene, it was that the next Death cd would be truly inspiring and raise the bar another step higher for musicians. It leaves me with an empty feeling without those albums to look forward to in the future, but I will continue on and strive to progress. I have always felt that was what Death was about.
