Informal Meetings. Think of the appeal process as a ladder. The first rung is requesting an appointment with an assessor. No forms. No costs. No sworn testimony. But don't be lulled into thinking this informal meeting is a simple chat where you point out errors and the assessor fixes them.

Formal Appeals. Formal appeals are not automatic. You must request one, get the proper forms, follow their directions to the letter and submit the forms and evidence by the deadline given.
