Part 1

    A name that was revered and then feared by many. On his homeword, Sephiroth was the finest soldier in the ranks of the Shinra Corporation's armed forces. Through his heroic deeds and adventures, he became and inspiration to others and his name became a household word. But while investigating a Shinra mako reactor, he learned why he was such a fine and powerfull soldier... he was not totaly human.
    He found that he was the product of an experiment and his genetic 'mother' was an entity known as Jenova. At first believed to be the last of an ancient race known as the Cetra, Jenova was later revealed to be an interstellar lifeform that traveled from world to world, leaving death and destruction in her wake. After this, he disappeared, with Shinra declaring him 'Missing in Action' and sealing his files.
    Five years later, Sephiroth resurfaced after spending that time in the LifeStream, learning all the knowage of the Cetra. He reviled to Cloud Strife (a former subordinate of his) that he had devised a plan to achieve godhood by severely damaging the planet with a summoned meteor and absorbing the energy the planet would use to heal itself. By manipulating Cloud Strife, Sephiroth came very close to achieving his goal. But with the self-sacrifice of Aerith/Aeris Gainsborough (the last descendent of the Cetra), and the heroic actions of Cloud and his band of friends, Sephiroth's plans became undone.
    Finally, at the center of their world, Sephiroth and Cloud faced off in a final duel, where by useing a specialized combination sword attack, Cloud was able to best Sephiroth, who then began to dissipate into a flash of light...
