Combining ‘80s and ‘90s club culture with elements of Brit-pop, Gregg Alexander, with the help of several studio musicians, has crafted a pleasant collection of pseudo-political pop songs. Though Alexander’s lyrics occasionally drift into the sociopolitical realm, the overwhelming theme of 'Maybe You’ve Been Brainwashed Too' is that of being hip; which is just fine for this genre. Although there may not be a revolution in the future for New Radicals, its music is definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for light, glossy, feel-good pop.
