Antioch Newsletter and the War of the Chroniclers
Antioch Chronicles is starting a newsletter that sounds pretty cool. It'll cover all the happening and some special events at Antioch, and campaign info. To get more details and find out how to subscribe check out The Tribunal. He also has put up info on the War of the Chroniclers, a multiplayer b.net campaign that he is working on.

New Strats
SC Millenium has added eight new strats. You can get them all here.

Game Reviews
IGN has slapped up reviews on Starsiege: Tribes and Close Combat III. Warzone takes a look at Blood 2: The Chosen. GA Source has a first peek at Metal Fatigue. Lastly 3D Spotlight has a preview up on Quake III: Arena. I think that'll keep you busy for awhile :)

Baldur's Gate Patch Released
Interplay released the beta version of the Baldur's Gate patch (4.1mb). You can download it in the General Store section at Interplays Official BG Site. Be sure to read the readme.txt file for BEFORE installing for important info on the patch. You can expect the fully supported patch to be released in a few weeks.

Gotta Have Those Stats?
Blizz has put up a MS Excel Spreadsheet that you can download that has the unit stats for all three races. Download now (6k)

Dark Templar Strategy
SS has it's first BW strat up, Dark Templar Tactics. This one deals with getting around detection units for each race. Don't underestimate the DT. When coupled with some Corsairs kicking out Disruption Webs they can be a real pain in the @ss.

A Peek at Darkstone
Darkstone is the new RPG game in the works by Delphine Studios and Take 2 Interactive. If you getting tired of waiting for Diablo II, (I don't plan on seeing it before Xmas 99), this game just might satisfy your itch. C|Nets review starts here. Darkstone is slated for release this spring.

New Half-Life Patch
Sierra Studios and Valve announced a new Half-Life update, ver1.0.0.8. The patch adds new multiplayer maps, player models, a new team-play mode, and improvements in Internet bandwidth utilization. You can get the patch using the automatic update built into the game, or download here from Gamespot or from Sierra's site. Valve also announced they will release Team Fortress Classic as a free downloadable add-on for Half-Life at the end of the month. Note - Patch ver1.0.0.8 requires the previous patch ver1.0.0.6.

Half-Life Levels
PC Gamer has added Half-Life to the Game Level Paradise section. Currently they have one single player level for downloading, Jailbreak. IGN and Gamespot have a new Half-Life multiplayer level for download called Gasworks. Get a description of it here.

SC Music Video
toNt over at Simple Craft has made a SC Music video. They describe it as a combination of cutscenes and cool SC music. At 21mb I'm not going to download it but that doesn't mean jack so if you want it, grab it here. They'd appreciate some feedback on it.

Auspex and Antioch's Episode II
With Antioch Chronicles Episode II: Negative Suns gearing up, Infoceptor snagged an interview with it's creator, Auspex Turmalis. It's a good read but for some reason they stuck it on the main page. Check it out here under the Jan. 13th news section.

Brood War Walkthroughs
Infoceptor is up to Zerg Mission 4 in there BW Walkthroughs Section. Get the walkthroughs for Protoss missions 1-8, Terran missions 1-7 and Zerg missions1-3 here.

Ok Some People Have Way Too Much Time on Their Hands
But that usually means something odd comes out of it. Odd is good :) Tech Base asked several SC Webmasters/Players the question " What would you do if you were sitting at home quietly typing on your computer, when all of a sudden, a red dot appeared on your CPU. At the same time, a strange woman entered amd said "Nuclear Launch Detected"? The Disconnect=Loss Rule and Map Hacks

Wargasm Released
Although it showed up on some shelves early, Wargasm was officially released nationwide yesterday, on Wargasm Wednesday, Check out the official Wargasm site here for more info. The shockwave thing is pretty cool. There's an index of reviews on the game here.

Reviews & Writers
3D Gaming Net has reviews up on Baldur's Gate and Starsiege: Tribes up. They're also looking for new writers. Nope, you don't get paid but there are a few perks to it.

Battlefield Communicator News
If you use Battlefield Communicator (BC) and would like to find others that use it for Starcraft or Diablo, head over to the Free Starcraft Game Server Network (FSGS) page. They've created a permanent channel called BFC Challenges that's dedicated to helping BC users connect for games. In other news, BC got Best Peripheral Device of the Year from Gamers Gazette. You can read their review of BC here. BC has updated the Software Compatibility Page to include Baldur's Gate, Starsiege: Tribes, Heavy Gear 2, and Falcon 4.0. BGC is reporting that Shadowfactor Software has closed a deal to license Voxware Technology. They say it's expected to be fully implemented in BC v1.2 and new features will include:

Couple Tid Bits
Found some intersting stuff at IGN. There's a preview up on Lands of Lore III. They've got some info up on the new expansion for Sin, Wages of Sin due out in Feb. There's also a couple screens. A Myth II Tournament was announced with $20,000 in prizes and cash up for grabs.

Map Offerings
SC.Legacy has posted their new map of the week, Infrastructure. Requires Brood War to play. Get the description here. They've also set up a SCM Archive and a SCX Archive section. There are allready a couple of maps in each of these sections. BW Dynasty has also created a SCX Section and has their first map, Warp Gates 2, up for downloading.

Ahhh those Trojans
There's a new Trojan out called PICTURE.EXE. You can get info on it at McAfee and download the detection and cleaner there also. Thanks for the info Phreekbird

GameSpy 3D v2.07

The Linux Beer Hike :)

Protoss and Zerg Stats Added
Blizz has updated the Compendium to include the Protoss Unit Stats and the Zerg Unit Stats for both SC and BW units. The Terran Unit Stats were updated also.

Cendant Seals the Deal
Cendant finalized the deal to sell it's software division to Havas SA. Final selling price??... $800 million cash plus future potential cash payments. What the heck does potential future cash payments mean?? eh who cares :) The software division includes Knowledge Adventure, Blizzard Entertainment, Davidson & Associates and Sierra On-Line.
