1_COOL_GUY stripped of #1 Ladder Spot
OK this isn't earth shattering news, well maybe it is i dunno... Anyway Blizz is resetting him. Here's the post. Seems alot of ppl are happy about it. But what i'd really like to know is what he did wrong? All I've ever heard is that he had more than one account in the top 10. Could someone clarify plz?? Is it illegal to have more than one ladder acct? He can't play games against himself and lose? So what was the crime... anyone know? I must be missing something :\ mail me. thanks :)Elexis the Centerfold
Here's a post from Blue's News I couldn't resist posting :)Also on Ritualistic are instructions on how to view the Elexis Sinclaire model from the Sin Demo naked. Simply take off your clothes and look at the model. No wait, those are my instructions on that. Over there they have instructions on how to see the naked Elexis model too. As always, parental discretion advised (in other words, be discrete with this around your parents). Now aren't I nice to you guys? Too bad the same instructions aren't included for Blade... Yeah it's a man's world :p Oh and if any of ya'll actually try this would you let me know if it works. btw it's the "Elexis Nude?" post.

Several news sites are reporting a bug/security flaw found in 3 of the most popular email programs. It affects Netscape 4.x or higher (only on Windows), Microsoft Outlook Express and Outlook 98. When a user attempts to download, open, or launch a file attachment that has a name greater than 200 characters in length, the action might cause the email software to crash. At that point, a skilled hacker could possibly run arbitrary code in the computer's memory, according to a security bulletin posted yesterday by Microsoft. Microsoft has posted patches and Netscape should have one up in a few weeks. In the mean time check their site for info on how to avoid problems. C.net article (contains links to the MS patches). Wired News articleMultiplayer Cheats/Hacks

There's an article up at ZDnet about how some gamers believe the Sin Demo was infected with the CIH virus. This was probably fueled by the fact that the demo was released on the 26th, the trigger date for the virus. Read the article here. I have to say I haven't seen reports of this at the major gaming zines and with over 122,000 d/l the first day I think there would be more on the web about it.VoxWare Support for Diablo2?
In the wake of the recent webmaster chat that Blizz held, DiabloII.com has a little article up that suggests Blizz is considering using VoxWare technology with b.net. What is VoxWare? It's a new sound codec that allows real time voice communications while using very little bandwith. You can read the article and get more info on VoxWare here. Although they suggest Blizz is thinking of using it for D2 the only hard eveidence I see in the article is that Blizz has licenced the technology. When asked about it Roper said "The VoxWare technology is very cool, and we like to look at and license cool technology. We really haven't decided when and if we will use it, but we are taking a hard look at what it gives us in terms of game play." I think it's jumping the gun abit to say it'll be in D2 but it would be cool :)Top 10 List is Up

As we are ahead of our projected schedule for Diablo patch 1.07, we are going to take the opportunity to put all of the enhancements planned for patches 1.06 and 1.07 into a single patch. The "new" Diablo patch 1.07 will not only allow players to rename their Diablo characters to existing Battle.net accounts, but will also address the numerous bug fixes originally intended for a later follow up patch. This will be a simultaneous PC/Macintosh patch that will be available within the next few weeks.
