Half-Life Reviewed
PC.IGN has a review up on this much talked about game. They give it an overall rating of 9.5 and go on to call it "the finest shooter ever crafted". Well written and plenty of screens to keep your eyes happy. Check it out here.Action Figures Everywhere
If you really want those SC or WC Action Figures for Christmas gifts you might want to get over to EB World and order them now. All sell for $9.99 (US) but have different shipping times. The Warcraft figures and Terran Marine ship in 24 hours, but the Zerg figure takes 2-3 weeks. The Protoss figure says available Dec 4th, ships 24 hours after that. If you like Zelda, I saw a Zelda Collectible Edition set out for $7.99 (US). Eidos announced the 9" Lara Croft Action figure will be in stores by December and should sell for $20. Lara will be sporting a wetsuit. I'm not even going to think about that choice of outfit.... EB is listing it available Dec. 26th with a $22.99 price tag.ROFL

On Shafe's
I heard Shafe's shut down because they put the Star Wars trailer up for download and had over 10 gigs of data transfer....*yikes!* I guess they'll be back tho.Half-Life Warning !!
This is taken directly from Blues News and concerns a serious bug with uninstalling Half-Life :
I've received a couple of warnings from readers who've had the unfortunate experience of uninstalling Half-Life, or the Sierra utilities that install with Half-Life, only to find the uninstall deleted the entire directory structure where they installed the game. The results of such a deletion could range from the annoying (the uninstallation of the Half-Life OEM or other Sierra games if you installed in the default directory), to the really problematic (if you install games in a dedicated games directory) to the truly catastrophic (if you install the game in your program files directory), so until this is fixed (or it turns out these scary anecdotes are proven incorrect), I would suggest exercising extreme caution when removing Half-Life.New Zelda64 Screen Shots

[news source - BGC]What happened to Shafe's and RTS Gamers???

Janna's View has an explanation up on what causes split servers on b.net, straight from AlenL of Blizzard. It makes sense. Thanks to The Helper for the tip :)Nova Z on the AMD Mythology
While at Janna's View I ran across an editorial entitled, Nova_Z On the AMD Mythology. I have a distrust of AMD just because a friend of mine has one in her computer, and tho it's a faster puter than mine, it runs slower, alot slower. But being the open minded person I think I am ( *wink* ) I decided to read the article. It makes a lot of sense and I have to admit I had to catagorize myself in the "stupid biased ppl" catagory. Truth of the matter is, I just don't have the tech knowledge YET to try out all those things to determine what exactly is causing page fault errors and the likes. If your interested in the AMD vs Intel debate give it a read. Knowledge truly is power, and AMD chips are showing up in more and more systems. Side note - I've been told that the reason my friends puter is slower, is due to no pipeline burst cache in the earlier chips which has been rectified in the new faster chips.
