Karad
Its really nice place. A small peacefull town in Maharashtra.
I spent many of my school holidays in Karad, where my grandmother-grandfather
and mama used to live.
The Ghat is really really nice place to play in childhood. Played in
mud and water of Krishna and Koyna sangam.
The bhel on ghat ( at that time! ) was so nice........ I haven't eaten
that kind of bhel anywhere.......
I visited nearby places, but don;t remember.
in 1999 I visited Karad again. This time it seems more like a city.
Still it was difficult to find mineral water on the shops in Ghat!
Why mineral water???? ha.ha....ha.. The water in 'mangal karyalay'
was so sick that everybody got in trouble... so to be cautios I thought
better to have mineral water.
But since we did not get it, tried zero bactiria drinks like limca,
coke and so.......
