Latur was like village and was a lot of difference for me when I
shifted there from place like dombivali.
I was there for my 3rd standard.
Was in 'Puranmal Lahoti' school.
Lot of difference in language. Was puzzled initially with some words.
for the first time heard real hard-cored 'shivya' in
Marathi and was totally surprised what they are!
Sometimes visited nearby areas like river ( Manjra river??? ) and had
fun. Gone there in bullock-cart
Travelling in Cycle-rikshaw was really difficult as could not see a
human being taking efforts to drive the rikshaw!
I ( or rather my father) changed my 'life track', that is my education
medium from english to marathi!
got to change as there was only one
english medium school just started in latur, 3rd standard was started
the same year I went to Latur, and overall the
fees per month was 25 rs.! ( my poor marathi school had fee of 3rs.
5 paisa per month!)
So changed to Marathi medium. But stood first in the class!
