"I am in a holiday humor."
~ WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
These white lights are the closest things to "icicles"we're going to see this Christmas in South Carolina.
Christmas in the living room. Won't you stay for a cup of Christmas tea?I'll build a roaring fire, and put on some beautiful Christmas music. The quotation painted on the wall above the fireplace reads,"Love is Heaven and Heaven is Love." It is from a poem by Sir Walter Scott.
The white "berries" you see are from the Chinese Tallow tree.In the South it's known as "popcorn."I re-use it year after year.
This wreath is made with eucalyptus, pinecones, pheasant feathers, dried berries and flowers.
I don't need to put out many Christmas decorations sincethe wallpaper in my dining room is red and the woodwork is green.
Hanging from the small chandelier above the table is a dried artichoke.Looking through the window, you can see the twinkling "icicle" lights hanging outside.
What would Christmas be without Santa Claus?!The picture on the post is me and Santa, taken when I was five or six years old.
Engraved sterling mint julep cup which holds my collectionof souvenir spoons, the ones I like to use at tea time. The plate is from my Christmas china, "Holiday," by Lenox.
