I keep a journal, listing the movies and videos I want to see. If I hear about an interesting movie or read an interesting review, I add its name to the "Movies I Want to See" list. That way, if I miss it at the movie theatre, I will remember to catch it when it comes out on video. I never visit the local video rental store without my journal. Additionally, I like to spend an occasional rainy afternoon there (journal in hand), perusing the aisles in search of obscure/unknown titles. I usually always find something interesting, and onto my list it goes. I can't tell you the number of unforgettable movies I've discovered using this method. (I can only imagine what people are thinking when they see me reading the backs of video boxes and writing in my journal.)
