Meet My Dad!!!

Hmmm...let's see now. What can I tell you about my dad. He is the proud father of 5 children. Tom, the oldest, Dave, the second oldest, Susan (me, the middle paranoid child!)Cheryl, the second youngest and Jim, the youngest. Mom and dad were married for about 27 years when mom passed away from breast cancer. That was a really tough time for all of us. But, as with all things we carried on. As of this page, dad is now 75 years old. Stubborn...man beyond belief. I can understand it to a certain extent, but there are days when you'd just like to pull your own hair out!!!

In this picture, we were both 45 years younger!! That would leave dad age 30 and me aged 1 year!

Well, they say that if two people live in the same house long enough, they actually start to look like one another. The photo's below are daddy-daughter hair-dye days! Enjoy!!!

UPDATE: Dad passed away at the age of 77, on February 6, 2005. It was exactly one day after his first grandchild, April, had his first great grandchild, Ava, born February 5, 2005. It was a happy time, quickly followed by a sad time. We've made it through, although there are days I still really miss him. He suffered with COPD, and rheumatoid arthritis, and had been bed-ridden for two years before his passing. So in a way, it was a great relief not to see him suffer anymore, and could enjoy seeing Ava, so bright and so beautiful, growing up. I know he never got to see her, but I told him just after she was born, I ran down to ICU and told him April had a baby girl, and his eyes just lit up so much. He asked if April was o.k., and I said yes, and the baby was 7lbs, 7oz., just like me when I was born! All the nurses kept his spirits up that day by congratulating him on his first great grandchild! We all know he's watching down on all of us. Rest in peace dad! You deserve it!
