Can't Pick Your Family But You Can Pick Your Cyberfriends

this poem is dedcated to all the friends i made over my many yrs in chat!

A friend told me of this place,
On the web called chathouse,
He sent me the addy and checked it out,
Who knew then where it would lead.

Now i've been around the house for awhile,
Met some interesting folks,
From all over the U.S. and Canada,
And the rest of the world.

These friends are different,
Names that fit their personality,
Funny names,
And mysterous ones,
Crazy ones,
And Sweet ones,
I've met them and befriended them,
Most of my cyberfriends are closer,
Closer to me than some of my real time friends.

They are fun,
And hilarious,
Helped me through bad time,
Just as i have helped them,
Great people most of em,
But there are exceptions.

The exceptions,
Were evil and cruel,
Heartless sonsofbitches,
That like messing up others minds,
And emotions,
And damaging others souls.

I don't dwell on the twisted sick people,
I think of my true friends,
Just names and words,
But they are close to me,
Forever there in my heart,
And my mind,
To help me,
And me to help them when needed,
And show me the world through their eyes...
