When I was in high school, I used to wait for the day to end so that I could get home from school. The thing I looked forward to the most was watching MacGyver at four o'clock. Every day, my sister and I would wait for it to come on. We used to watch the credits too, very attentively. We would guess how many times Mac's mouth would be open. There were five to six pictures, and my sister and I would guess either two or three of the pictures. If we thought it was REALLY an open-mouth day, we'd guess four.
MacGyver is the true example of an adventure show. Those hooked on the show find themselves daydreaming that they're right there with him. My theory is that the most intelligent individuals in the Unites States are MacGyver fans. They're not plagued with functional fixedness. If they have something that needs to be fixed and they don't have the right equipment, MacGyver fans will search their surroundings for anything that may be useful. They learn all of MacGyver's clever tricks.
So far, this MacGyver page is pathetic. But just wait. It'll get better.
