THE RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS are just that. Their music is crazy, but, like Prince Hamlet, there is a method to the madness. I first noticed this band in 1992 when "Under the Bridge" was released. This ballad is NOTHING like anything else they have created. Each song has a different flavour, all excellent, and all uniquely CHILI PEPPER!!!

Among my circle of friends, "Floyd!" is synonymous with "Cool!". This is the only 70's band that I listen to, and they're timeless. They don't just write albums as anthologies of loosely related songs; they write album-lengthed masterpieces.

BLESSID UNION OF SOULS - I used to be more into this band when I first started college. They sing beautiful love songs; I just haven't been in the mood for those lately.

EVERCLEAR   I get picked on for liking this band. But they can just go on. everclear has such songs as "I will buy you a new life", "Father of mine", and "Wonderful", reasons why I'd rush over to Wherehouse Music to buy their latest CD the day it was released, (also got a cool everclear mousepad for free!). everclear's basic message is that "you're not the only one whose life gets miserable", (no, that's not their quote; it's mine. Impressed?)

FASTBALL    If you say that this band is just a "one hit wonder", I'd like to smack you off side the head and exclaim "RESET!". Obviously, if you think this, you did NOT hear all the tracks off their first CD. Yes, "The Way" swept across radios across the nation, and VH1 played the music video in their top ten music video countdown, (summer of '98, I think). But there are songs on this CD BESIDES "The Way", such as "Better than it was", "Fire Escape", and "Damaged Goods", that are equally as top ten worthy.

I went to the MP3 concert earlier this year where Goo Goo Dolls and Tonic played, (at the Township Auditorium in Columbia, SC). FOURTH ROW SEATS TOO!!! I had already heard and loved their songs "Iris" and "Slide", but hearing those and other songs live...MAN!!! I was jumping all over the place, screaming my head off, LOVIN' EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!! They sound AWESOME live!!! And John Rzeznik is SO CUTE!!! Well, he is on TV and in pictures, but in person... AW!!!
