Awards 2000-2001

Wake Forest University:
Congratulations to all of our comeptitors who attended Wake Forsest: April Berling, Miranda Reynolds, Caitlin Weeke, Cameron Bentley, Adam Whipple, Danielle DuBose, Lindsay Godo, Mandy Ticknor, and the only person from Greer to break past third round, PJ Frantz. Not a bad start you guys!

Bob Jones Academy:
Great job Jessica Osburne who won first place in Children's Literature, to Mandy Ticknor who won sixth in Children's Literatrue, and to Roger Warren who won first place in HI.

Mauldin High School:
Awesome job you guys! Roger Warren (second CONSECUTIVE) first place in HI, Kristin Carter fifth place in HI, Lauren Morgan and Jessica Osborne third place in Duo, and Adam Whipple fifth place OO. We congratulate all of the Mauldin competitors.

Youth In Government:
We're proud of you! Megan Amick won Outstanding Statesman in Premier House, and to Maggie Meeks who (almost) singlehandidly broke the high auction record with an $89 dollar bid. All the money goes to charity, and we're really proud of her generosity. Also congratulations to everyone from Greer who went to YIG for bringing home Premier Delegation for the fifth year in a row.

Riverside High School:
Keep up the great work! Congratulations to Roger Warren for continuing his first place sweep in HI, Kristin Carter third place in HI, Lauren Morgan and Jessica Osborne fifth place in Duo, and Mandy Ticknor fifth place in DI and fourth place in Children's Literature.

Greenville High School:
"It's a boy!" No one could have done that any better than you, Kristin! Congratualations to our novice: Matt Watkins on 6th place OI, Katie McNeese on 5th place OI, Lauren Morgan and Jessica Osburne on their 2nd place Duo, Adam Whipple 3rd place OO.

Southside High School:
Congratulations Roger Warren (5th place HI), Branddon Benson (4th place HI), Roger Warren and Lindsay Godo (5th place Duo), Jennifer Garrett (6th place Poetry), and Miranda Reynolds (2nd place Prose), and Adam Whipple (6th place OO).

TL Hanna:
Congratulations to all of our comeptitors who trophied at TLH: Josh Hoke (third place storytelling), Roger Warren (first place HI) Miranda Reynolds (fourth place OO) Adam Whipple (sixth place OO) and Terunda Dawson (sixth place storytelling).

Hillcrest High School:
Congratulations to all of our comeptitors who trophied at Hillcrest: Roger Warren and Lindsay Godo won fourth place Duo, Jessica Osburne and Lauren Morgan won fifth place Duo, Miranda Reynolds won second place Oral Interpretation, and Caitlin Weeke won fifth place Dramatic Interpretation. Great tournament you guys, and congratulations to both the Hillcrest and Greer teams!!

State at Richland Northeast:
There's more to us than you hear on the news. Congratulations to all of our comeptitors who brought home trophies: Miranda Reynolds (fifth place Prose Interpretation), Lauren Morgan and Jessica Osborne (second place Dramatic Duo), Roger Warren (third place Humorous Interpretation), Mandy Ticknor (fourth place Children's Literature), and Angela Johnson and Terunda Dawson (sixth place Humorous Duo). Also we want to give shout-outs to all those on our team who broke to semi-finals: Adam Whipple (OO), Kristin Carter (HI), Branddon Benson (HI), Mandy Ticknor (DI). Thanks to the entire team for bringing home the seventh place sweepstakes trophy, so that April and I could feel captainly (yes, I know it's not a real word) going to pick it up!! Congratulations to all of our team and the best of luck to our District Qualifiers!

Districts at Hillcrest High School:
The Greer High School speech team wishes to congratulate our first ever National Qualifier, Rodger Warren, who qualified in HI with Robin Hood: Men in Tights.
