when all are gone
all is left is a shell
the shell sits and thinks
who are these people?
why are they gone?
a mother for the rest of your life
she stops early
triest to fix herself
leaves you to fend on your own
as you flounder she laughs
she leaves
casts you out into that crowd
unexpected, unfamiliar faces
does it matter inside?
you pretend it doesnt
acting strong
even fooling yoursef
but when it catches up
tears streak
your young aged face
a man comes
suppose to be like a father
instead he takes off his skin
shows the real him
nothing you can do
ring is already in place
he never explained
what was in store
everything weakens
things pushed
soon you are out
freezing in the cold
only knowing
it wasnt you
he forced it
not only have two people left you
a part of your family has to
not knowing you
no chance do you have
only cast aside
to learn how to live with no one
hard to start once again
make the shell a thing again
that breaths and feels
and smile wholesomely
once again
