I am driving down this road.
I’ve seen it before.
Trees surround the road,
Blocking the moonlight’s glow.
It is hard to see.
It is pitch black.
Begins getting darker
Farther down this road I go.
Headlights won’t shine
Through the fog.
Flying down this road.
Breaks won’t stop this car.
I can’t see the end from here,
But know it will come soon.
I hope it gets light
So I can see the way.
Can’t go down
A twisting road
Without some direction.
Trees move closer.
They make the road narrower.
I’m getting closer to the end.
I start to feel the fear.
I don’t know what is at the end.
Maybe there isn’t anything.
Just endless darkness
As the road has shown.
How will I find my way
Out of here??
All I can do is hold on tight
And wait for this road to end.
