never before did i see
how you changed me so positively
peeled away my shell
exposing me
lil by lil
helping me
making sure i was ready
to open up
be more than me
less shy ive become
doing things i couldnt
or wouldnt
before
so outgoing and free
like never before
having more faith
and believing in myself
even if it is only a sliver
why didnt i feel this before?
maybe i needed time
to become even more of myself
so i could grow
then be able enough
for us to carry on
even if its just friends
nothing will express
the thanks i feel
for letting me be me

and letting others
