my dark hunger
feeding off of everything
my pain and my anger
not knowing what else to do with it
except play it out in private
so no one is hurt
only me
keeping the darkness
close at bay
for no one to witness
no one to disgrace
or burn out the light they carry
for it is a heavy cloak
holding all down that it touches
beware what you give
question what you receive
i eat it all
the darkness becomes deeper
