how messed up is it
when you want to be loved and adored
yet no compliment will you accepted
do not want to have something to reach
to have to keep at
how many people you offend
telling them
their compliment is not true
that you can not accept it
much too many
especially when their feelings
they are really there
so is it better to take what theyre giving
or turn it down
again and again?
perhaps hurting more than just yourself
and losing their admiration
and love
that they hold so dearly
just for you
