The padding of steps,
A soft voice calls out.
Where,
Oh where are you?
I sit and wait.
Nothing approaches,
But there is still,
Still the echo of your voice.
I smile at the sound
And of the thought.
I think back about times together.
The memories I remember
Are the most precious things.
Remember the day we first talked.
The way I smiled,
The way I quickly fell for you,
All flashed by,
Scene by scene.
Then comes the day we met,
How, even then,
I felt so close to you.
It is still a mystery.
It was the first time we touched.
You hugged me and held my hands.
That was all when we first met.
Next is the day
When I became yours.
I smiled.
I was so happy that day
As I was all the days
Since we first talked.
A month passed by
Since that day,
I sat there and chatted with you.
Some song playing in the back.
Before you left me,
You told me something,
I said the same back,
Quietly, since I was shocked.
Then months passed by,
Until it came to be 4.
I’m looking back and smiling
At all the times we had together,
All the times you said you loved me,
All the times you stayed with me.
I remember evry kiss,
Every hug.
Each little thing you did and said
Meant so much to me.
We know each other so well.
Think the same thoughts,
Speak the same words.
Now I hope
That all our dreams will come true.
That we’ll have
Many, many more months
To look back on.
Whether in the mountains
Or even near the sea.
Whether or not it’s here
Or even if it’s there.
As long as I’m with you
I’ll always smile.
