What We Do
Some of you might be wondering exactly what PSIG does. PSIG conducts investigations throughout South Carolina, as well as in other parts of the country that are within the limits of our budget. We conduct both public and private investigations. This means that we not only investigate public facilities and alleged haunted sites, but was also investigate homes and sometimes people who feel that they are being influenced or contacted by a spirit.
We also provide counselling to those who need, or want, to discuss events or phenomena that have affected them. This counselling is often just sessions of someone explaining the events or feeling to our counselors, who are both ordained ministers, so that our counselors can try to explain what might be causing the experiences, and often, how to deal with it. Sometimes people just like to hear someone say that they are not crazy. And, of course, these sessions are completely confidential, as are our private investigations.
The majority of PSIG's researcher's time is spent doing research on all forms of the paranormal. It is the belief of our members, that the best way to deal with any situation, is to know and understand as much as possible about the possible causes and effects of paranormal phenomena. Our research ranges from parapsychology to ghosts and spirits to UFO's and abductions. We also take time to study as many religious beliefs as possible, and compare them to various other beliefs, as well as scientificly explained phenomena.
PSIG also offers to share this research in the belief that no one person should hold deny knowledge or research to others who share an interest or need of such information. All of PSIG's files, that are not confidential of course, are available to anyone who wishes to view them. Of course, because we are a group on a tight budget, we do ask that a donation be made to at least cover the cost of materials and shipping.
The members of PSIG are always available either in person or via phone. We understand the schedules and distances of those in need are often not easily managed, but we do our best, and are always willing to discuss cases, research, and such over the phone, through e-mail, when possible, and in person.
