Matt stared at her as she walked by. He could smell the sweet aroma that she had on as she walked by the table. “Hellooooo!! Earth to Matt.” Tai said as he waved his hand in Matt’s face. “Wha- What??” Matt said taking his eyes off her. “Dude, it’s like you totally spaced out, just right now, oh I see your admiring a certain girl aren’t you, you know you could get any girl you want.” Tai said looking at the girl. “Shut up Tai, and no I can not get any girl I want, no she’s different.” Matt said to Tai as he turned to his food. “Whatever you say.” Tai started to stuff his face with food.
“So Sora, you met the all famous Matt Ishida in the hallway.” Joe said. She looked up and nodded. “Yeah, and…” Mimi persisted. Mimi and Joe were feeding each other across the table. They shared a strawberry as they kissed. “Eck, get a room, people are eating here.” Sora said and she took a drink. “How you meet him, huh Sora?” Mimi persisted again. “We bumped into each other and introduced ourselves, that’s all, now can we end this discussion about the all famous Matt Ishida.” Sora took a bite from her salad.
Last period, P.E…
“Okay class, our last day of soccer, Tai’s team will be playing Sora’s team on this field and the other two teams will be playing on the other field, now get to it!” The teacher shouted. “We’re gonna cream you guys.” Tai said with a big smile. “We’ll see.” Sora replied. They began the game with Tai in possession of the ball. Sora quickly stole the ball and dribbled it to the goal post and scored. “Ah, come on Matt, you could have blocked that.” Tai said in frustration. “Sorry dude.” Matt shrugged.
That was when he noticed that she was in this class. He couldn’t take his eyes off of her. She looked so hot when she was sweating. Matt said to himself. Snap out of it Matt, you have a game to play. He shook his head, trying to get his mind off of her but couldn’t. His eyes kept going to the same place. That same girl.
“Now who’s getting creamed.” Sora said with a smile. “Ha ha, very funny.” Tai remarked. The game continued on with Sora’s team in the lead by three points. Sora was at the goal post ready to score and she kicked the ball and she made it. She didn’t even notice that the goalie was Matt. Matt did his best but couldn’t block it. He was too distracted by her. Sora’s team had won, 8 to 4. The bell rang signaling the end of the period.
Sora walked out of the girl’s locker room. “Hey, Sora right.” She looked up and a guy was standing right in front of her. “Yeah, and you are, wait your that popular guy who everyone is talking about right, Matt, Matt Ishida, you have a concert tonight right?” Sora said remembering. “Yep, we met in the hallway.” Matt said refreshing her memory. “That’s right, I knew I remembered you from somewhere.” Sora replied. “Here, backstage passes to my concert tonight, I hope to see you there.” Matt handed her the passes and took off. “But…” Sora couldn’t even finish her sentence. She looked at the passes. She wasn’t even planning on going.
Sora walked home her hand still clutching the passes. She decided she was going to give them to Mimi, Joe and Izzy. When she got home she called up Mimi.
“Hey Mimi, I was wondering if you want some back stage passes to the concert tonight?” Sora asked. “WHAT, you got back stage passes, how, I was trying to get some but I couldn’t. AHHHHH!!! Of course of I do!! Are you nuts, you’re not going, then huh.” Mimi practically screamed into the phone. “No, I have some, uh, things to do, so how about you drop by here and pick them up.” “Yeah, of course, how’d you get them anyway?” Mimi asked curiously. “Matt Ishida gave them to me, I don’t know why but he just did.” “Oh, anyway I’ll drop by probably in an hour or so okay.” Mimi sounded so happy. “Okay, Mimi bye.” “Bye Sora and I love you sooooo much.”
Hours later, Mimi has already picked up the tickets, they’re at the concert…
“They’re wonderful, too bad Sora couldn’t come.” Izzy said screaming through all the shouts, screams and yells coming from all the girls from the audience. “Yeah, I know, she said she needed to do some things, I think she really doesn’t care.” Mimi also shouted. “Oh my gosh, they’re playing my favorite song, hold me Joe, I’m gonna lose control and start screaming on the top of my lungs!” “We don’t want that to happen.” Joe said as he cuddled closer to her.
“Where is she?” Matt said to himself as he sang. He looked all around the auditorium, but couldn’t spot her anywhere.
Sora sat on her bed listening to the radio, when she heard the man say something about a Matt Ishida and his band. Then she heard a song of theirs come on. “This is actually pretty good.” She said to herself. Sora went over to the window and looked out. It was a warm night, and so she opened the window. She admired the beautiful starry night, and thought to herself, “Maybe I should have gone, but oh well.”
End of concert…
“Oooh, I can’t wait to meet the band, and Matt Ishida.” Mimi said excitedly. They went backstage and handed the tickets to the backstage man. The band was already talking to some other people who also had passes. Matt noticed them and walked over. “Hey, I’m…” “Matt Ishida, I know, wow it’s so great to meet you.” Mimi suddenly interrupted him. “You guys don’t happen to be Sora Takenouchi’s friends in any way.” Matt asked. “Why we are her friends as a matter of fact, she was the one’s who gave us the passes, she’s a great friend you know.” Joe replied. “Why didn’t she come?” Matt asked again. “She said she had some things to take care of, she said she couldn’t make it.” Izzy inquired. “Oh, here let me introduce you to the other band members.” Matt introduced them.
He felt like he was going to scream and rip his hair out when he heard that but he didn’t. He thought to himself, “Hey, things happen.” He really hoped on seeing Sora again, but that wasn’t going to happen tonight.
