After they had finished the meal and cleaned up the plates, it started to get dark. Lirin went up to her room and grabbed a big leather bound book that had a lock on it and headed back downstairs. She slipped quietly out the front door, unnoticed. From her room, with her keen eyesight she had noticed a small clearing in the woods by the lake that overlooked the city. That was where she headed towards now.It took about 10 minutes to walk there at a brisk pace, but she wanted a quite spot to write in where no one would bother her. She always came out to greet the first star as it appeared in the night sky. She’d then write the day’s events in her journal, which was the locked leather bound book. She was behind on her entries because she could not bring it with her during the fight against Talpa, and she had no idea how many days had passed when she was in space, but she guessed only a couple of days had gone by. She made a mental note to ask about that later.
She sat down near a rock outcropping by the lake, with her back resting on the rocks. She began to write, beginning with the accursed day that had started it all for her.
Dear Diary,
I have fallen a little behind in my daily writing lately, but I have an excuse. I’m guessing that it was about a week ago. As we were all getting ready for dinner, Grandfather [that’s what she calls the Ancient] came to my family. He told us that it was time for me to done the Armor of Cosmos and fight the evil Emperor Talpa. My mother was strongly against me having to go out and fight at such an early age, and asked Grandfather to let her go in my place, since she was also trained in the ways of the Armor. He denied her request, warning her that she would perish if she did.
I had a vision that night. It was a horrible one indeed. I saw my mother fighting Dynasty soldiers with the Armor of Cosmos on. While she was fighting one of the soldiers had snuck up behind her. Just as he was about to kill her, Father shielded her with his own body, giving up his life to protect her. Mother turned to kill the soldier who had taken Father’s life when another soldier ran her through with his sword. That was the end of the vision. I woke up to see it all happen right before my eyes again the next morning. Mother had taken my kanji orb while I slept. When I saw them killed before my eyes I felt a great rage and power rise within me. My starlight fire engulfed me as I began to kill the soldiers. I had never fought with so much heart before. I could feel the difference.
After Mother had returned my kanji orb and had died in my arms, Grandfather appeared again. He tried to comfort me, and I knew that I could not dwell on their deaths, for I had to save the world now (boy, doesn’t that sound weird, huh?). It always amazes me when I think about it. That I was chosen out of so many to, in fact, save the world. I did ask him why the Dynasty soldiers had come though. He told me that Talpa had found out that we were Grandfather’s descendents and wished to destroy us so that we could not take Grandfather’s place. He failed to kill my brother and I. And, now Chad and I are the last of Grandfather’s descendents. I keep having this feeling though that there is still one more descendent out there though, waiting to be found. Huh, *shrugs* oh well.
After that I left with Grandfather to go to help the other Ronin Warriors. I arrived only in time to help save Ryo of Wildfire. Talpa had already absorbed the other Ronins with their armors, and Ryo was very weak and injured when I got there. As a result of the latter, I was absorbed by Talpa when I shielded Ryo from Talpa’s attack. I knew that the battle’s outcome would rely heavily on Ryo. I found out why. Ryo was absorbed shortly after me, but we both managed to break free along with the others. The most amazing thing happened then. Ryo’s Armor of Wildfire began to absorb the other Ronin’s powers! Then it became a white Armor that looked very similar to mine. I think that this is the armor mentioned in my family’s books of history. I think that the armor was Hariel’s White Armor of Inferno! I fought beside him just like my ancestor, the first Lady of Cosmos, Lirin, fought beside Hariel. We both used our most powerful attacks and blew Talpa away. Just before he was sent back the Netherworld however, he blew me away into space. I knew this would happen though, because I had also had a vision of this happening. I told Ryo how to find me and gave him my Cosmic Star Swords to help him, for without them, I could not have been rescued. The Ronin Warriors did rescue me within a couple of days. I felt so bad because when I woke up from my state of suspended animation, I decked one of them: Kento of Hardrock. Poor Kento. I hit him pretty hard too. When I woke up I saw his face, which had cookie crumbs all over it, right over mine and panicked. I screamed and then he screamed, causing me to get worked up even more and I punched him right in between the eyes. He must have a pretty hard head because that punch I sent him would have knocked out any normal person. He was pretty dazed though. Sorry about that Kento.
After everything had been settled after I punched him, I was just about to climb into bed when I grabbed the sheets and felt a tremendous pain in my right hand. It was then that I remembered I had cut it badly on Ryo’s sword while saving his life. I left my room to find a first-aid kit so I could bandage it up and clean it up. When I got downstairs and bumped into a table and fell down with a little cry. Rowen must have heard me and come downstairs because when I was looking for the first-aid kit in the kitchen he asked me what I was doing. I showed him the cut and he cleaned and bandaged it up for me.
I have to tell you about Rowen of Strata, Diary. When he was helping me with my hand I got one of my ‘feelings’ again. This feeling was that he was the man with whom I would want to spend my life with. Even though I’ve only known him for about a day I think I’m in love with him. Guess there is such a thing as love at first site after all, huh Diary? He is very handsome, and I sense that he has a good heart and a strong spirit. I’ll have to wait and see to see if he likes me in return. Sure hope so.
Anyway, the next morning Mia Koji (who’s mansion is home to all of the Ronin Warriors) and the boys went with me to my family’s ranch to help me gather my things that I wanted to bring to Mia’s house. I’m living there too now you see. We all went riding while we were at the ranch. The boys were so funny, trying to act like Clint Eastwood and John Wayne. They were all so sore from riding when we got back to Mia’s. *smiles* You should have seen them waddling around! I made them some tea to ease their stiff and aching muscles.
The boys and Mia are all very nice. Let me describe them a bit. Ryo Sanada of Wildfire seems to be the leader of the Ronins. He’s a little taller than I am, maybe about 5’9" and he’s got wild black hair and tiger blue eyes. He seems to have a bit of a temper and be a bit stubborn, but he seems like an overall nice guy. His kanji is virtue. Then there’s big haired Sage Date of Halo. I swear, he’s got the biggest hair I’ve ever seen! It’s HUGE! He must spend a lot of time doing it in the morning. He’s American too, on his mother’s side anyway. He’s got blond hair, which covers one eye, and he’s got these really cold ice blue/violet colored eyes. He’s definitely gonna be a fun one to bug, tease, and play pranks on. *evil grin* He’s definitely a girl charmer. He’s already made a move on me. Ryo called him the ‘Flirt King.’ He and Kento seem to fight a lot, although not as much as Sai and Kento do. He’s shorter than Ryo, and I’m guessing that he’s about 5’8". His kanji is wisdom. Next comes Sai Mouri of Torrent. Sai seems to be the quietest of the group. He’s really shy and blushes a lot, but he seems like he’s the most compassionate and friendly one of the group, not that the others aren’t mind you. He likes to cook and has already asked for some of my recipes. He’s the same height as Sage. He’s English I think cause he’s got the accent. He’s got brunette hair and sea blue green eyes. He’s so cute (as in baby bunny cute, though they’re ALL hot!)! His kanji is trust. And then there’s the big teddy bear, Kento Rei Faun of Hardrock. I swear, I’ve never seen anyone with as big an appetite as he’s got! He’ll eat anything and everything. He’s the strongest of the boys and likes to charge into things. He’s not really the brightest of the group, but he’s got a big heart. I can tell he’s a real softy, but he likes to act tough. He’s probably the shortest of the boys, being around my height of 5’7". He’s got blue black hair and blue eyes. His kanji is justice. And of course, there’s my personal favorite, Rowen Hashiba of Strata. I’ve already explained a little about him, but here’s a little more to go by. He’s 5’10" with electric blue hair, with this one long piece that comes right between his eyes, which are dark blue by the way. He’s definitely the tallest of the group. And, I think he’s the smartest too. He’s always got a book with him no matter where he goes, so yes he’s an avid reader. That’s okay though, cause I’m one too, although I think he’s an even more avid reader than I am! Once he starts reading though, there’s no way to get his attention unless a nuclear bomb explodes right in front of him. His kanji is life. Last, but not least, is Mia Koji. She was the one who helped gather the Ronins after Talpa dispersed them. She’s been a valuable source of information to the Ronins in the previous battles too. She’s very kind. She’s got red brown hair and blue green eyes. She’s shorter than I am. I think she’s around 5’5". She’s really good with computers too. She’s part French.
Well Diary, I guess I had better head back to the house now before they start to worry about me. I didn’t tell them where I was going and it’s been a while since I left. Until next time!
