Part 2

Faye had driven back to the house that she shared with two other girls. The house was real nice. It was three floors high and the owner rented out the rooms. When Faye had got to New York and saw the house she knew that she wanted to live there. It was a really nice place and had everything that she could need. She had rented the whole top floor. She had not minded sharing the house with other people but she did want to have some kind of privacy.

Faye liked the other two girls who shared the house with her. Kate and Linda were a lot like her and the three of them got along great. Kate Stevens was a blonde and her eyes were a pale green color. Kate cared a lot about her looks and was always using them to seduce any guy that she wanted to. In some ways Faye kind of admired her, the girl had some real good techniques. Faye even borrowed some of them every now and then. Although Kate liked to be surrounded by men most of the time she was a very nice person. She actually cared about what people thought, and she often had some good advice, although Faye had never been in the need of her services.

Linda Morris was different. Her looks were on the plain side. She had brown hair and brown eyes. It was her attitude that drew people to her. She always seemed to be in a good mood, and she almost never had a bad word to say about anybody. She was nothing like Faye, but Faye liked having the girl around to cheer her up when she was in a bad mood.

Once Faye took her shower she remembered that she had made plans to meet the girls for lunch. They had planned to meet at The Cafe and make plans to eat there over a cup of coffee, or not. Faye rushed to change her clothes and ran out of the house. She was the only one there at that time of day. The girls were at there classes. They were to meet when their classes got out. Faye decided to get there early to see who all were there. Maybe she could make plans for later that night.

Faye knew that she should have left once she saw that David was at The Cafe. She knew that he was only going to cause problems for her, but she had made a promise to the girls and she planned on keeping it. David had spotted her the second that she had got out of her red Camaro convertible. She knew that there was no way that she could avoid him now. She wondered why men never listened to a thing that they were told.

Faye looked at him once he had got to her side. "Hello, David."

"What are your plans for tonight?" he asked her.

"We're having a party at the house to celebrate the start of the weekend."

"Am I invited?"

Faye rolled her eyes at him. "Everyone is invited."

David stepped closer to her. "And maybe we can spend some time together afterwards?"

Faye took a step away from him. "I thought that you understood this morning, David. We are not going to be spending anymore time together."

David grabbed her arm and squeezed it tight. It hurt, but Faye did not let it show on her face. "Why the hell not Faye?"

"Because I am not interested." Faye tried to get her arm out of his grasp. "Let me go."

"We are going to be spending more time together, Faye, a lot more time. You know that you want to."

Faye tried again to get free of him, he only squeezed harder. "Let. Me. Go." She was getting angry with him, and soon he was going to regret the fact that he had ever met her in the first place.

Faye never got a chance to do anything. All of a sudden David was jerked away from her, and he let go of her arm. Faye turned quickly to see what had happened. David had been pressed up against the side of the building by some guy that she did not know. "I think the lady said that she was not interested."

David laughed at the stranger, "She's no lady."

Faye took a step closer to the two, she wanted to hit David. Again the stranger interfered. He gave David a punch to the nose. Faye thought that she heard a cracking sound, but she wasn't really sure. The fact that the stranger had hit David had surprised her. She could have imagined it, but she did see the blood that was flowing from his nose, and she did hear his scream of pain when he was hit.

"Apologize to her." the stranger instructed.

Faye was really surprised when David actually did what he was told. It seemed that he could listen after all. She accepted the mumbled apology although she did not really want to, but she did not want to offend the stranger who had actually defended her honor. She had not known that there were men who still actually did that kind of stuff. She kind of wanted to know what was wrong with him.

She had decided that he was perfect when he turned around to look at her. He had let David loose and the wounded man was quickly leaving the seen. Faye had barely noticed. She could not take her eyes of the devilishly handsome man that was in front of her. She looked at his face which had a perfect smooth complexion that only enhanced his dark slightly curly hair and his eyes. Faye could not help but to stare at his eyes. It looked to her as if they were black, but that couldn't be right. No one had eyes that color. Fayed seemed to have forgotten that her own eyes were a rare color that no one seemed to have ever had.

Faye knew that she was probably making a fool of herself, but she just could not take her eyes off of the stranger. She never realized that she had had the same effect on her.

Damon had turned to introduce himself to the lady who was being bothered by the fool who did not know how to treat a lady out in public. He had turned and his mouth was slightly open to let out the words that he was about to say. They never left his mouth. He could only stare at the vision that stood in front of him. She had worn her hair down and it had stopped just a little past her shoulders. She had it cut in a way that it framed her face, and it was about the blackest black that he had ever seen. And her eyes were the color of gold. He had never seen those color eyes on any human, not throughout all of his years, and he had quite a few of them. Damon never noticed that she was staring back at him.

Damon blinked and smiled at her. "Why hello there."

'His smile was even perfect,' Faye thought to herself. "Hello."

"A woman as beautiful as yourself should never socialize with someone like that."

Faye knew that she was talking about David. "I usually try not to but I made a mistake this time. Thank you for your help, but I really could have handled myself." "I'm sure that you could have."

Faye turned to walk back to The Cafe. She looked over her shoulder at him and gave him her sexy frown. "Aren't you going to buy me a cup of coffee?" she asked him softly. She knew that her friends would be there soon, but she only wanted to spend a few minutes with him. He just might be her after party entertainment.
