As Faye walked into the house she heard Damon shouting. "Where the hell is she?"
Faye walked up to the doorway of the main room. She saw that everyone was in there. It seemed that they had been arguing for a while. Diana looked calmly at Damon. "I already told you that I do not know. No one saw her leave, and she did not leave a note."
"That's right," Adam said. "Leave her alone. She can not tell you what she does not know."
"Yeah," Laurel started. "It's obvious that none of us helped Faye leave, so she must have left by herself which means that the bullet wound is not bothering her too much. Faye can take care of herself."
Faye smiled. The coven was getting mad at Damon. She turned her head slightly and noticed that Stefan was watching her. 'There's something wrong with that one.' Faye thought to herself.
Stefan raised a brow.
Faye laughed to herself. 'You heard that didn't you?' Faye asked him telepathically
He nodded. Faye smiled at him. 'Are you going to punish me for being naughty?'
His eye's widened. She winked at him. He blushed.
Elena looked at Stefan. "Stefan, I think that you need to help Damon. It looks as if he is about to get himself into trouble."
Stefan said nothing. He didn't even move. Elena looked at his face. "What's wrong with you?" Elena turned to see what he was looking at. She looked at Faye. "So you have returned," she said.
Faye looked at the blond girl. "How very observant of you?"
Everyone in the room turned to look at Faye. "Where the hell have you been?" Damon asked.
Faye rolled her eyes at him. "I'm so glad to see you too."
Diana walked up to Faye. "Where were you Faye?" She asked gently.
Faye smiled at her cousin. "I had to pay someone a visit." Faye walked into the room. She sat on the couch between the twins. Doug looked at Faye. "And who was that?"
"Portia."
Everyone in the room froze. They had all turned to look at Faye. Faye smiled at everyone. She was enjoying the attention. Diana looked at her cousin. "Did you kill her?" Diana asked the question calmly.
Bonnie laughed. "She would not kill somebody for being stupid." Bonnie saw that all the members of the circle were staring at her. "Would she?" she asked slightly uncertain.
Sean laughed. "You don't know Faye. She is evil."
Diana shook her head. "Faye is not evil, Sean. She is just controlled by..." Diana could not finish her sentence.
Cassie finished it for her. "Greed."
Diana smiled at her friend. "That's right. She is just ruled by greed."
Faye smiled. "Why thanks a lot for the compliment."
"If she is not evil, then why did she try to kill everyone on this island?" Chris asked.
Elena's eyes widened. "She actually tried to kill all those people."
Faye shook her head. "No, I did not. I was just trying to get what I wanted, so I helped a friend threaten the whole island."
"Has she ever really killed someone?" Bonnie asked.
"Yes, she did." Nick answered. "Quite a few people actually."
"Did I really?" Faye asked.
"You did." Laurel answered.
Elena looked at Diana. "And you are still friends with her?"
"It was not my fault that those people died. I did not know that it would happen."
"That's true," Cassie put in. "We all had something to do with the deaths of those people. But unlike the rest of us, Faye has no guilt. She has never once felt guilty."
"What do you mean that you all were involved?" Stefan asked.
"There was this crystal skull. We thought that its power would help us make the world a better place, but we were wrong. Everytime we used it someone died." Melanie answered.
"Then why use it?" Bonnie asked.
"We did not know that we were the cause of the deaths at first. We knew that something wasn't right so we decided to not do anything until we knew the skull better." Adam answered. "But of course Faye likes to have thing her way. She used blackmail to get Cassie to get the skull from Diana. Then she used even more blackmail to get herself voted leader of the coven and then forcing us all to use the skull."
"But if the vote was unfair why not do it again?" This was from Stefan.
"That is not our way. No matter how wrong the vote was final. Faye became our leader."
"And you follow her?" Damon asked. He was watching Faye. She seemed not to be bothered by the fact that everyone talking bad about her. He decided that he wanted to know more about her.
"Of course we do," Deborah answered. "She is after all our leader."
"None of this makes sense." Elena said.
"Not to you." Susan said. "That is because you are not one of us. You do not understand our ways."
"If Faye is so evil there is no reason to follow her."
"Faye is our friend." Diana said. "No matter what bad she does we will always be there for her is she needs us. In the end when it counted she was there for us."
"The end of what?" Damon asked.
"Faye tried to take over the world." Cassie answered. "She wanted to rule the world."
"I almost got my chance to. I was so close." Faye put in.
"Maybe you should explain the whole thing to us." Bonnie said. "Things are getting confusing."
"Yes, Diana, explain things for them."
Diana took a seat in one of the chairs that she was close to. "I told you about the skull already. Well the skull belonged to Black John and he was an evil witch, and Cassie's father. He is around three hundred years old, more than that really."
Doug laughed. "Faye seems to like her men old." He was talking about Damon. Damon frowned at the boy.
"That's right." Cassie said. "She fancied herself in love with him."
Faye shook her head. "Not him, but the power that I could get from him."
"Whatever." Cassie looked at Bonnie. "My father wanted to rule the world, and he wanted the help of our coven. He knew that we would not help so he took advantage of Faye's greed. He would have succeeded with his plan if Faye had not turned on him."
"Why did you?" Bonnie asked.
"I felt that it was not to my advantage that all those that I knew and cared about be done away with." "What happened to him?"
"We destroyed him and his skull." Cassie answered, "And we could not have done it without Faye."
"How do you know that she will not turn on you?" Elena asked looking at Faye with concern. "If given the chance, how do you know that she will not try for the world again?"
"Because I said I won't," Faye answered seriously. Everyone in the circle nodded their agreement.
Diana looked at the cousin. "Back to the original question. Did you kill her?"
"And if I did?"
Diana's eyes saddened. "Oh, Faye. I thought we were past this."
"She did try to kill me, cousin. It was only fair that I returned the favor." Faye saw Damon nod. It looked as if there was at least one person who agreed with her.
"Killing is wrong Faye."
"That depends. You know I speak the truth."
"There was no reason to kill her, not really. There are other ways to teach a lesson."
"Don't worry yourself over it, Diana. I did not kill her."
"You didn't?"
"No, I just went to talk to her."
Adam studied Faye's honey eyes. "Just to talk?" he asked.
Faye nodded. "What's wrong with you Faye?" Adam started. "You would not normally do that. Did you threaten her at least?"
"No, not really. We made a deal."
Laurel looked at her leader. "That's all?"
"Yes."
"That bullet wound must have did something to you."
Faye smiled at Laurel. "No, I just thought things out before I did anything. Portia has agreed to leave us alone until we can get rid of Stephanie."
"Get rid of her?" Cassie asked.
"I'm pretty sure that Stephanie is no longer human. We will have no choice but to kill her, unless you want the vampires controlling everything."
Cassie nodded, "Of course, they must be done away with." Adam got into the conversation. "You mean that she actually agreed to let you kill her cousin?"
"What else could she do?" Faye answered, "You know she does not like what is not completely human. She would rather her cousin be dead than be a vampire and killing people."
"What do we do now?" Nick asked.
"We wait for Stephanie to make an appearance. She does still want me dead you know."
