Part 8

Damon followed behind Bonnie. She was taking them to the sight that her vision showed her. He did not know how she was able to find the place, but she knew. He could hear the music and the voices up ahead. It appeared that there was a party going on. He wondered if they were heading toward the party or further on. The sounds of the party were getting louder and louder. Damon knew that that was where they were heading.

"Are you sure we are going the right way?"

"Yeah. We need to be at that party."

"Why?"

"That is where we get our help. I'm not sure who yet, but we will find our person at the party. It is a birthday party to celebrate someone important."

Elena looked at her friend. "If the party is so special they are not going to want us there."

"They will understand."

Damon shook his head. "I really doubt it. Could we not come at another time?"

"No, now is the only time. We are supposed to be at that party."

"We shall see." This came from Stefan.

They all continued to follow Bonnie. They walked between the trees moving the branches out of her way. Finally they came upon the clearing. They could see the party below them. There were thirteen people in attendance at the party. There was music playing everyone was laughing and dancing. Everyone appeared to be having a good time.

"What is she doing here?" Bonnie asked.

They all turned to see whom Bonnie was talking about. They all saw her. Damon could not believe that she was there. He was looking into Faye's smiling face. She was dancing with two guys, they were twins. Damon frowned. She was standing way to close to them.

"Why is she here?" Stefan was asking.

"I don't know. She was supposed to be back at home."

"Maybe this is her home." "I don't know."

Damon watched as Faye walked away from the twins. He was relieved. He did not want her standing that close to anyone but him. Damon growled deep in his throat as he watched her walked to another guy, a big, dark guy. Faye had wrapped her arms around him. She brought his lips down on hers and she kissed him. Damon stiffened. He stood straight and started down the slope towards the beach. A hand stopped him.

Damon looked back at his brother. "Let it be." Stefan told him.

Damon glared at him, but Stefan did not let go. Damon nodded and looked back at the party.

Faye approached Nick from behind. She ran her fingers along his back. He turned to look down at her. "What are you doing, Faye?"

"Enjoying myself." She cupped his face with her hands and brought his lips down to hers. She closed her eyes, and kissed him. She felt his try to push away, she held on to him tighter. "Don't pull away from me, Nick."

"You don't know what you are doing Faye."

"I know exactly what I'm doing."

"What?"

"I'm having a good time. That's what I always do."

"Maybe before but not lately. You came back depressed, different. You were not the Faye that we knew before. What happened?"

Faye moved away from him. "I fell in love."

Nick's mouth opened slightly in shock. Faye laughed. "I surprised you didn't I, Nick. Never thought it would happen, did you?"

"Who?"

"It no longer matters, he is no longer a part of my life."

"You let him go?"

"He left."

Nick grinned, "Are you serious?"

Faye nodded. "He left one day, and did not come back. I don't know what happened to him. I just know that he is gone."

Nick took her hand and they started walking towards the fire. Faye looked down at the hand that held hers. Nick had changed a lot since Cassie. She was not sure if she liked it. She wanted the tough Nick back. "It's not like you to let a guy affect you that way." "I know."

Sally stood by the fire alone. Faye looked at the girl that she had a great dislike for some time ago. Sally was the only outsider that was invited to the party. Cassie had insisted that her friend be invited. Faye did not think that the girl would come. Sally had been away at school in Texas. It was a shock to Faye when Sally had showed up that morning. It appeared that Sally and Cassie had a closer friendship than she thought.

Sally smiled at Faye. "Happy Birthday, Faye."

"Thanks."

Sally looked at Faye. "Are you okay?"

Faye laughed, "Of course I am."

Sally nodded. She was about to say something, but the sound of a gun going off stopped her. She turned to look in the direction that the shot came from. There stood Portia and her brothers. All three of them had a gun in their hand.

"She would have to crash the party," Faye said as she started toward the three. The other members of the coven were not far behind her.

Damon stood watching not far away. He started towards Faye once again. "No, Damon."

Damon turned and looked at Bonnie. "They are in trouble."

"I know, but we were meant to be here to see something. Our help is here, maybe he or she will show themself."

"If they don't."

"If something goes wrong we will be here to help."

"You better be right."
