Shari woke up trying to will herself back to the safety in her dreams.
Damien was smiling at her and she tried to grin but only made it halfway.
She cracked her knuckles and flinched each time she heard one crack.
"What's going on?" She asked Damien.
"I really don't know, Miss. All I know is that it involved Michel."
Shari nodded and yawned.
"That's nice." She mumbled still half asleep and snuggled herself into the pillows pulling the large blankets around her small body rocking gently with the swaying of the water bed.
"Are you hungry?" Damien asked her and she cringed.
"Do I have to eat this much all the time or will the pain come again?" She asked him in a soft but painfully sad voice.
"No, it will get better once your at least a week into the process. Your still weak and tired because your haven't fully been transformed."
She nodded. "I knew that." She said and winked at him and he smiled back being caught in her contagious smile and good moods.
"Now I am going back to sleep. Goodbye." She said and swiftly fell into a deep sleep.
Black Knight threw a book at the wall and watched as it hit a picture and broke the picture frame and glass sending the picture to roll itself on the ground.
He didn't care and started walking back when he saw one of the boys who was supposed to be held prisoner. He saw the boy was over something and looked down to see Ellen.
She was pale and her lips an almost light blue from being dead for awhile by than.
He than saw Lucifer and let out a cry of fury surprising Nathan who jumped.
"Your going to die, boy!" He said in anger.
"Lucifer was to be my commander and that girl was supposed to be a friend for Shari."
He slammed a fist into the guys stomouch and he groaned and clutched at his stomouch in pain crying out every time one of Black Knight's fists hit him.
"Their both dead aren't they?"
He said and Nathan nodded and he took Nathans neck in his hand and twisted it all the way around listening to the bones crack with a sense of pleasure knowing he had done justice and left the bodies to rot.
Someone else would clean it up he thought assured and walked away looking every bit of normol which he wasn't. He listened to Michel tell Tam off and chuckled deeply and after they were done fighting went on his search for the upstairs where Shari was.
Josh looked around his cage.
Vampire and werewolf resistant he noted and wondered what would happen if he put a demon in there and sighed longing to do so.
He tugged on the bars in anger and watched as they easily cut through his skin. Wood with metal poles inside. He sighed and sat down on the floor of his cage with an uneasy feeling.
Black Knight knocked on the door and Damien immediately answered it. He nodded to Damien who smiled.
"Did all go well, sir?" Damien asked Black Knight and Black Knight nodded.
"Yes, it did. Thank you for watching her, Damien. Is she OK?" Damien nodded.
"She woke up for awhile but nothing major just mumbled some stuff."
Black Knight nodded.
"Thats good. Do you think she'll be in need of food soon?"
Damien nodded.
"Probably."
"Than send a human up here will you please so I can have one at my disposable to feed her. She gets very weak so it will be hard to bring her down all those flights of stairs again. "
Damien smiled and nodded.
"Sure, boss. Send one right up."
Black Knight nodded and Damien took the hint and left. He went downstairs and told Tress to bring a victim up to Black Knight and when she went down there most of them were being used or had been used and were unconcious from the blood loss.
She made a mental note to remind Black Knight to send some hunters out to get more victims.
She sighed and knew that she had to find someone for Shari to feed on and went down to the lower dungeons.
She knew she could get in trouble for bringing one of them up but didn't think any major things had happened and whens he saw one prisoner she took him out having no idea she had just taken Josh to bring him up to Black Knight and Shari.
Josh knew though and went along with it.
Black Knight could hear someone coming up and went outside to wait for the people.
He saw Tress dragging someone along but didn't bother to look at the victim. When they were right in front of him he glanced down and saw Josh and cursed.
Tress looked at him peculiarly and he smiled at her.
"Go ahead downstairs Tress. Thank you very much."
Tress nodded still confused and bowed, turned, and left. He watched her go and when he turned around Josh wasn't there. He went in the room and found Josh sitting on the silver bed but Shari wasn't there.
"So where did you put her while you kill me?" Josh asked Black Knight and Black Knight's eyes grew wide.
"Where is she?" He asked Josh in an unbending tone of voice.
"What do you mean where is she? You hid her away didn't you."
"Oh fuck!" Black Knight exclaimed and left the room in a hurry with Josh being forgotten for the moment. Josh smiled and snuck out of the room and watched as Black Knight disappeared down the bottom steps.
Josh started walking the other way when suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to see Shari staring at him.
He jumped and she smiled and hugged him tightly.
"I'm sorry." She murmured and he stroked her hair delicately.
"Come on we have to go." Shari said and pulled a chair to the middle of the hall they were in and reached up with her arms and pushed a small glass frame off of the ceiling.
Josh watched as she slid out and than he followed her to see Michel and Tress sitting there smiling.
"So far so good." Michel mumbled and started walking away with everyone right behind him.
Black Knight sighed as he watched a stumbling Shari leaving and yearned for just one more kiss but turned around and faced his back to her knowing his dream was over.
The illusion for her was over yet he was the one who would be stuck with these feelings forever but at least now he had some memories to look back on when she was his, he thought.
Michel helped Shari and Tress in the limo and slowly got himself into the front seat in a black tuxedo so he looked like the real driver. He slowly backed out hoping he didn't make much noise so he didn't get caught.
He looked back in the rear view mirror to see Shari looking at the castle with an almost shocked expression. He sighed, shook his hand, and started driving faster so he could get out of the town quickly.
As expected he was stopped at the brink of the town and he cussed and opened his window to Teleena who was on duty.
"Hey your cleared, Michel. You and your passengers. " Michel laughed.
''He's letting her go?" Teleena nodded and walked away and Michel drove out of the town in greater spirits.
"Shari, you can't go back."
She shook her head sadly. \ "I can't leave Christina."
Michel heard this and rolled down the window slowly.
"She's dead Shari." He said lieing through his teeth but luckily Shari believed him and started crying so Michel rolled up the window so he didn't have to feel so responsible as he watched both Josh and Tress trying to comfort her.
Michel didn't want to know what would happen to Christina in Thorns clutches so he took it away from his mind without even trying to.
When he finally got to the apartment building he had picked Shari up from it seemed like time had gone through a lot. He got out of the limosine and pulled Shari into his arms hugging her tightly.
"What are you going to do?" She asked him.
"Tress and I are getting married and leaving town. We'll go some where far away." She sighed and nodded hugging him again and than moving on to hugging Tress.
"You guys have to remember to write to me." She said in a sad voice and because she hated goodbyes she walked away with Josh running after her.
