Michel put a hand on the small of her back and started leading Shari towards the door where Josh stood.
"Listen, Josh, Nathan knew that I'm leaving and why go bug him."
She slipped around him and Michel smiled as though he had conquered a battle and pushed Josh aside and stepped out of the door following Shari.
The first thought that came to Josh was "He walks like a predator.", but when he told the others they had just laughed at him.
Shari allowed Michel to catch up to her.
"So where's your car?" She asked him as they slipped out of the building.
He pointed to a silver limousine which didn't have a speck of dirt on it. She blinked and her eyes grew wide.
"Impressive." She whispered and again he smiled at her.
He took hold of her arm and led her into the limousine. There were two leather couches and one small bed that shocked her to see it in a limousine, stretch or not. A small refrigerator and phone but other than that it was bare. Shari ducked and scooted onto one of the seats moving all the way down trying to look out the tinted windows fully expecting Michel to sit on the opposite couch.
He didn't. He sat next to her. She shuddered despite herself. He placed his hand on hers.
"Why are you so afraid of me?" She turned away and instead of answering his question responded,
"What is the Dark World?"
He seemed taken aback and she knew that he didn't know that she knew about the Dark World whatever it was. She slipped the invitation out of her purse and handed it to him.
He stared at the invitation for awhile and than at her as a small smile curled onto his lips. He placed a hand against hers and when she didn't shudder he smiled.
"You can call me DarkDealer rather than Michel." She grew quite confused but just stared out the tinted window and for awhile neither of them spoke.
"Why?" She finally asked.
"It's code named. We all have them. Or maybe you could say Michel is a code name. You'll understand eventually." About a half hour later when he thought she was asleep he brushed a strand of her from her eyes.
"How far away is it?" She asked him.
"Pretty far. That's why the bed is here. You will probably have to sleep before we arrive and I assure you it would be better that way. "
She glared at him and when the car stopped again she reached for the door handle.
"Sorry, but I can't do this." He grabbed her around the waist and pulled her back down.
"I didn't ask if you could, Shari. I'm telling you, you are."
He reached for a glass and poured a wine colored liquid into it and handed it to her.
"Drink this." She looked into his dark eyes and shook her head.
"Hell no." He seemed to be fighting the idea of hitting her.
"I said drink this."
"I am not deaf. I heard you and in case you are deaf I said no."
He sighed in exasperation.
"Drink it now or I could do something much worse." She took the glass from his hands and swallowed the salty liquid quickly and cringed at the aftertaste.
"Now, just relax.", Michel said. She felt a slight numbness in her foot as it was falling asleep and she shook it in frustration.
Her other foot was falling asleep and she tried not to move them because a burning sensation moved throughout her body like swallowing to much alcohol too quickly.
Michel put a hand on her shoulder.
"Just close your eyes. You'll be asleep momentarily."
She looked up at him and winced in pain.
"Damn it!! What did you do?" He smiled.
"Just giving you a little motivation to be well rested by the time we get back at the place."
She yawned and felt like she was tearing at every muscle in her body it hurt so bad when she moved. She was asleep about two minutes later and Michel laid her on the bed.
He opened the window and looked where they were and smiled. Not much longer was all he could think. He closed his eyes and waited with his ears still perked to any sign of danger. When they did finally arrive Shari was still sleeping and he had to shake her several times just to get a moan low in her throat.
Oh forget it he thought and picked her up hoisting her over his shoulder and stared at the castle. Its large gray walls looked unwelcoming but the inside was much more extravagant. He knocked on the door as the limousine driver followed behind him. The door was quickly opened and he saw Teleena.
"Hello!" She smiled and stared at Shari with a peculiar look.
"Didn't he tell you to leave your dinner outside?"
"It's not his dinner. It's my bride to be. Your new and soon to be immortal and than she will always be your master as I am."
Teleena turned and stared at BlackKnight and nodded, curtsied and left as the two men challenged each other with glares.
