MODERN DAY VERSION OF THE 23rd PSALM
The Lord is the One who leads me each day,
In whatever I am doing, be it work or play.
I never go lacking for anything I need.
He richly supplies everything indeed!
He gives me a beautiful home;
A fine car to drive when I need to roam;
I always have nice clothes to wear;
Delicious food and drink is always my fare.
His Holy Word refreshes my soul
To help me keep myself within His control.
And I know when time comes for me to die
That my Lord will still be right by my side
To lead me through the Valley of the Shadow of Death.
He escorts me safely through all life's tests.
I never have to fear any evils
Because my Lord always triumphs over the Devil.
I have an abundance of joy in my life and soul
Because I know that Jesus Christ is in Control.
Goodness and mercy follow me all my days.
And I dwell with Jesus Christ now and always.
