This was such a lovely stitch.
I painted and sanded and antiqued my card box with a gray on black technique
and I dyed MY version of chenille trim with a tan dye (I could not find any chenille trim at all in any of the craft stores near me-so I improvised and I think it works just perfect and looks like chenille trim).
