I woke to the
sound of a child's snobs and
snuffles....so near....and I knew it had to be the little boy next door. He wasnt but three years old, and I dont remember his name. I DO remember the time his
father grabbed his hair and pulled him
across the yard into the house because
he had gotten dirty.'God made
dirt...dirt don't hurt.'
......or so I thought. The screams that followed had a familiar ring, for they were often
heard. This night, I could take no more
and headed...quietly...out my back door. The window to his room was open, thank
the Lord, and I scratched lightly on his screen hoping not to scare him. His
little swollen face against the screen,
I made him a promise I was determined to keep. Twelve years old and ready to take on the world, I pried the screen off and waited for him to jump into my
arms....which he did without hesitation!
Home safe in my bed, wrapped up in
covers and my arms, I waited for him to
sleep. We both fell asleep crying, and I woke to the sound of a commotion in the
yard next door. We were so still, so
quiet.
Soon, my mother came in my
room. She was talking to me, unknowing
of the child in my arms, and I just let
her rattle on about 'the little boy next door' who was missing. No longer able to hold the tears welling up in my eyes, I
burst forward with everything I had
done....and would gladly do again! The
cover pulled back, I discovered bruises
that I had failed to see in the
dark...and I saw plenty! I thought my
mother would faint, and the little boy
would shake apart in my arms. He was so
scared!
After much interrogation, and the state took the frightened boy away
(after he told them he WANTED to leave), my mother sat me down to tell me what I
had done wrong. Wrong?? What about what
I had done right...didnt it matter?
Of course it did. And I will do it again if I have to, as I would hope anyone else
would. So, the next time you hear a
child cry, turn around...look...get
involved, and help a child have what God gave him/her...a LIFE! ©
I would
like to thank Anne, of ~Anne's Place,
for the beautiful angel and teddy bear
graphics on this page. God bless you,

A Little HugA little hug goes a long, long
wayTo make it feel like a better
day.
Just two little arms wrapped
around the neck,
And on the cheek just a little peck.
Let the sky be full of
thunder and rain.
But a little love
takes away most pain.
So, the next
time a child seems to want to
bug,
Just pick them up and give a
little hug. ©

Children Need Someone To Talk ToIf you dont listen to them, then the wrong person
might! God forbid that some stranger
could lead your child astray...or even
worse. So many parents today turn their
ear on a child because they are busy.
Then there are those that have listened
and Abused a child for having the wrong
view or a different opinion.
There is
somene your child will find....someone
that they feel they can trust....and at
such a young age, they are still so
easily led astray. So many gain their
wings because they trusted the wrong
person. Please....listen to their tiny
voices. ©
Friendship Is Everything!Just as adults like to have
someone adult to talk to, so do
children.
Have you ever seen two little girls
holding hands skipping down the street?
You can bet that they are best friends.
Or two little boys on one bicycle
laughing and being silly? Best buds!
Sometimes we tend to punish our children by not letting them play with
friends....but you punish their friends
too. Friendship is everything to a very
small child. Wouldnt it be so much
better to tell them they cant go to
their friend's house...and let the
friend come for a brief visit? Take the
TV away! So much violence in this
world....and where do they learn it
from? Too much TV! ©PretendingOh to
pretend as a child! As adults we forget
what it was like to play and be
something we arent....so sad. Do you
remember running so hard and pretending
you had the wings of a bird in flight? I do! I always wanted to be a dove. I
always wanted to be free.....On The Wings Of A Dove~
Free on the wind...
Poised up above
And laden with burden
On the wings of a dove.
None other so graceful
And touched by the heart
Is the white bird that carries
Promise of a new start!
With a Heavenly body;
With the promise of love,
I seek tomorrow
On the wings of a dove.©

Without the help of ~Kis~ I would have no knowlege on how to do a homepage at all! In this link you will find
everything possible to do

life. He represents ALL children who
