Deep breaths
Pervade the air
Pure peace lies beside me
And I know he is asleep
And I smile, full of warmth
And lift myself up on one arm
To look down at this beautiful man
Warming my bed with his
Presence
This picture of perfection and
Serenity
Captured by silver starlight.
I am in awe
Of this gracious gift
This completion
And I lean down
To kiss him softly
To see his unconscious lips
Curl faintly upwards
ANd I know contentment
As I am wrapped up
In safety and
Love.
