A Caring Heart

You came along when I needed you most;
You held my hand,
You held me close.

You showed me that tomorrow the sun will shine;
And that life isn't bad all the time.

You gave me a hug when I needed it most;
Whether it be virtual or real.
Somehow, you always seem to know,
Just how I feel.

You gave me a shoulder to lean on;
When I felt too weak to stand alone.
You helped me see that I am strong,
And I'm never on my own.

For all that you do for me,
I am so very grateful.
And each night I find the brightest star;
And thank God for giving me a friend,
with such a caring heart.
