~Christmas Wonder~

Theres a fable going round,
that Old Santa's here in town,
Hiding under the myth,
that chimneys, he goes down,
To find children's stockings,
hanging on an ornamental tree,
And fills them all with goodies,
And lots of toys to see.

If he was really, really real,
and that I surely think is true,
Wouldn't he bring what I ask,
wrap up and bring me you?
Wrapped in pretty paper,
and ribbons of royal blue?

Won't you please write to Santa,
and ask him to bring me to you?
Then we'd both have our wish,
for a joyous Christmas to be,
Hoping our dear friends could be,
as happy as are you and me.
Bring out the sleigh,
for some red berries, and holly to fetch,
And bring the reindeer round,
for to the sleigh we need to hitch.
That was the story last year,
and dear it all came true,
Santa did bring you to me,
and he surely brought me to you.
Let us all count our blessings,
and with our joy divide,
For theres someone,
somewhere, who needs us by their side.

Look!, huge flakes of snow I see falling,
covering all the ground,
Way up in the pine trees,
squirrels scampering all around,
Tired from hunting nuts,
they were feasting there, in great bliss
Maybe they were watching
for a Santa, they wouldn't want to miss!!
