  • April 24/01 - Edward Norton is scheduled to attend the ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) awards where film composer Elmer Bernstein will receive the ASCAP Founders Award. Bernstein has scored over 200 films including Keeping the Faith. Story: ASCAP sings praises tonight

  • EN will serve as Honorary Co-Chair of the T. Schreiber Studio Gala Benefit honoring Mary-Louise Parker and Gerald Schoenfeld. The gala will be held on February 5. T. Schreiber Studio is an acting school in New York City that EN attended. For more info, visit their website!

  • December 20, 2000- Edward Norton and Jenna Elfman have received Golden Satellite nominations for their work in Keeping the Faith(best actor/best actress in a leading role- Musical or Comedy). The awards will be presented by the International Press Academy at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Jan. 14. EN has already won a Golden Satellite award. He was awarded best actor for American History X. Although EN and Jenna Elfman were nominated in the Golden Satellites awards for best actor/actress (musical/comedy) for Keeping the Faith, the awards went to Michael Douglas (Wonder Boys) and Renee Zellweger (Nurse Betty).

  • December 13 2000- Edward Norton will receive a Common Ground award for Keeping the Faith tomorrow night (Thur) from Waterstone's Online (branches and events section) for more info.

  • Sunday the 5th Fight Club is premiering on Cinemax at 10 PM (check TV listings) with clips of interviews with the actors and the stunt coordinator both before the movie and after. Cinemax's website has video clips of interviews also. Screenwriter Stuart Blumberg is coming home from the Tokyo International Film Festival with the award for best screenplay for Keeping the Faith.   • EN and screenwriter Stuart Blumberg were present for a Q & A session after the screening of Keeping the Faith today at the Tokyo International Film Festival. A special treat- there is a video clip of EN answering questions from the press in Japanese. EN used to live in Osaka and is fairly proficient in Japanese. Click here for the clip!

  • Entertainment Weekly 11/5/00 edition Reel World column has two items relating to EN. EN isn't the only one in the running for the biopic on Antoine de Saint-Exupery. Others up for the role include his Fight Club co-star Brad Pitt, Ben Affleck, and Jude Law. The deals are supposed to be arranged within the next month. It also mentions that Salma Hayek's biopic on Frida Kahlo is expected to start filming in January. EN will have cameo appearance as Nelson Rockefeller in the film

  • Edward Norton performed last night in New York. He participated in "The Show", which was described as "a production of music and comedy skits directed by James Naughton" and that also included Cher, Al Green, Ben Affleck, Cameron Diaz, Jon Stewart, Nathan Lane, Chris Parnell, Denis Leary, Molly Shannon, and Will Ferrell. This was part of a happy birthday party/fundraiser for Hilary Clinton. Click here for the article. Keeping the Faith will be shown in competition at the Tokyo International Film Festival on Nov 2 and 4. EN is listed among the guests attending the film festival. Unfortunately, it also mentions that tickets are sold out.

  • EN in AFRICA- Today's Variety talks about Robin Williams probably taking the lead role in the comedy Death to Smootchie. They also mention that they are trying to get EN as the guy in who wears the blue rhinoceros suit of Smootchie, who Williams tries to kill after he was fired. However, they can't reach EN for a while since he is vacationing in Africa.

  • EN is one of the Los Angeles chairmen for Stage Blue, a celebration to be held simultaneously in New York and Los Angeles on November 13, 2000. The gala will showcase the theatre, film, and TV accomplishments of Yale Alumni. The proceeds of this event will go to support facilities for theater at Yale and to fund endowments for the Yale Dramatic Association and the School of Drama.

  • From Evergreen Terrace- "The Great Money Caper" (CABF03) Airdate: ??/??/?? After an evening at the Magic Castle night club, a fish drops out of a Russian spacecraft damaging the Simpson's car, leaving Homer strapped for cash. After thumbing through "A Child's Garden of Cons," Homer and Bart go on a con man's spree. With Grampa's help, they con the retirement home residents out of their money, until they get nailed by an FBI undercover agent. Edward Norton guest stars.   • NO HART'S WAR FOR EN- The Hollywood Reporter (9/27/00) announced that Edward Norton has dropped out of Hart's War. "[MGM] attributed the parting to 'creative differences.' Norton has no other projects lined up, and sources said he is not expected to make any decisions on his next film for at least a month." There is a good interview with EN by lineone.net called Ed the Confessor

  • CAMEO APPEARANCE FOR EN- Today's Variety talks about Julie Taymor ("The Lion King") directing Frida Kahlo, a project that Salma Hayek has long been developing. It is a biography on the Mexican painter Kahlo with EN set to make a cameo appearance as Nelson Rockefeller. Rockefeller "had Rivera [Kahlo's husband] paint a mural in Rockefeller Center, only to remove it when Rivera refused to change an image of Lenin, which Rockefeller felt went against the capitalist designs of the facility."

  • Filming on The Score is scheduled to continue until the end of the month.

  • Edward Norton and Salma Hayek arrived at the Deauville Film Festival. Keeping the Faith was scheduled to be shown at the festival at 2:30 pm with a press conference scheduled for 5:10.

  • The U.K. Newspaper The Guardian has an interview with Edward Norton in The Friday Review section to coincide with the Sept 12 U.K. release date for Keeping the Faith. Read the article- Orson Welles, James Stewart... Edward Norton?

  • An update on EN lending his voice to an upcoming episode of The Simpsons. TV Guide.com (section on returning TV shows) reports that EN will voice multiple roles in "an episode where Homer and Bart become father-son grifters".

  • New information about The Score filming has come to light in Oz settles 'Score' Rumors and more info on the Keeping the Faith DVD is available as well [Thanks to Joasantiago@aol.com for both!!] The DVD (now coming out on Oct. 17) will include a commentary by Edward Norton, one by screenwriter Stuart Blumberg, deleted footage, and a gag reel. KTF will be shown at the Deauville Film festival (in France) on Saturday, September 8. Edward Norton and Jenna Eflman are scheduled to attend. KTF is being released overseas in the upcoming weeks and more and more articles are coming out.

  • Keeping the Faith will make its premiere in France at the Deauville Film Festival of American Film which is held September 1 - 10. Both Edward Norton and Jenna Elfman will attend (Hollywood Reporter 7/25/00).

  • EDWARD NORTON ON THE SIMPSONS?- No, you're not hallucinating. The Houston Chronicle (7/21/00) reports that EN will make a guest appearance (vocally, of couse) in the upcoming season of The Simpsons! An I`m so excited! my favourite show and favourite actor uniteing into one!

  • An interview with Edward Norton and an image from the Karlovy Vary Film Festival is now available Hollywood's Soft-spoken Intellectual. Movieline magazine July issue has a paragraph on The Score [Thanks to HBLivin80s@aol.com for the info!]. The August Movieline mentions EN (among a list of other actors) with some casting rumors about a film adaptation of the book "A Beautiful Mind." The book is a bio of John Nash Jr., "a bisexual mathematical mastermind who descends into madness but somehow managed to regain his sanity and eventually win a Nobel Prize" (in Movieline's words). The column is very vague and rumor filled, listing Russell Crowe as the top contender for the role (with Ron Howard possibly directing) and other actors "rumored" to be interested in the role include Matt Damon, Edward Norton, Jude Law, and Matthew McConaughey.

  • Fight Club is now out on DVD and has added footage at the ending with bloopers and the making of Fight Club.

  • Edward Norton is nominated for one of GQ`s Men of the Year. He is listed under best actor.
