Venomous Snakes

Venomous snakes get a bad rap!Facts are that of all known bite cases 92 % involve a bite to the hand or lower arm. Makes me wonder , what are you doing putting your hand near one. To boot, most of these cases involve alcohol. Simply put it is very unusual to be bitten unless you mess with them. Let them crawl , they are supposed to be there! Due to loading times ect., we will feature six species and provide a directory to other pictures. We will update front page specimens monthly.

Arizona Ridgenosed Rattlesnake ( Crotalus willardi) This is one of the most protected species of Rattlesnake . Although common in their ranges , the ridgenosed rattlesnake prefers a micro habitat that limits its ability to expand its range and population. The ridge nose is very susceptable to collection pressure from reptile enthusiast who disobey the laws.
