Venomous snakes get a bad rap!Facts are that of all known bite cases 92 % involve a bite to the hand or lower arm. Makes me wonder , what are you doing putting your hand near one. To boot, most of these cases involve alcohol. Simply put it is very unusual to be bitten unless you mess with them. Let them crawl , they are supposed to be there! Although common in their ranges , the ridgenosed rattlesnake prefers a micro habitat that limits its ability to expand its range and population.The ridge nose is very susceptable to collection pressure from reptile enthusiast who disobey the laws.
