Blu Phi Poetry In Motion

PHENOMENAL ZETA
The confidence in my step
The dedication I convey to Scholarship.
I am a woman phenomenally,
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.
I walk into a room just as cool as you please.
And to a man,
Well the Sigmas While all other Greeks fall to their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It's the truth in my eyes,
And the proud stride in my hops,
The kindness of my heart,
And the commitment to Service.
I am a woman phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.
Greeks have wondered what they see in me.
They try so much, but they can't touch my inner mystery.
When I try to show them,
They say they still can't see.
I say,
It's in the gleam of my smile,
The grace given me from above,
The beauty of my modesty,
The inner need to give and receive Sisterly Love.
Wow, you understand,
Just why my head's not bowed.
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me dreaming of Z Phi
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It's the blue in my heart,
the way I hold the principles I should,
The uniqueness of my thoughts,
The evidence of Finer Womanhood.
'Cause I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Why else would I be a member of Z Phi B

ZETAS ~~ GOD's CREATION

God made Zetas free of selfishness,
With a sense of loyalty, sisterhood, and steadfastness.
He gave them ideals strong and true,
Then He named their colors ~~ White and True Blue.

He sent them out over all His land
To give to girl, boy, woman and man.
To give to all the gift of self,
He said, "Just give love if you have nothing else."

He said, "Render all service with hearts that are warm;
Give a sense of belonging, refuge from the storm."
He told them, "Serve ALL of My people well,
HelpALL of My children to the highest excel."

Then He said, "Through it all, never let out a sigh;
You should walk with pride, hold your head up high,
Have faith in Me, yourself, and your Sisters dear~~
You should feel honored, You are a Zeta ~~ R A R E."

A ZETA WOMAN
A while ago, a Zeta woman,
Stepped out into a storm,
The weather cleared, the sun came out
And the world, again, was warm.

And that very same Zeta woman,
Dressed in Blue and White,
Declared she would serve and serve she did
Always ~~ day and night.

That Zeta woman ~~ loyal,
Visited a far away place,
She represented the Sisters back home,
In the best of Zeta taste.

No one had ever heard
That Zeta woman's name.
No one cared, it didn't matter,
Because she wore her Zeta crown of fame.

When a girl begins to transform into a woman many things become unclear to her ~
Where she's been and where she's going.

It comes a times in a girl's life when she must decide whether to continue
To walk on green grass, get burned by the red fire, or to sell her soul for gold.

It comes to a point in time when she wants something that is out of the reach of man
And within the realm of GOD; she wants the BLUE sky.

She has seen others reach only for what is easy or taken for granted;
She has seen that she is willing to embark upon a challenge and put her trust in another.

For now when she cries, someone will be there to wipe her tears;
And when she tells a joke, some will be there to laugh;
For now when she needs someone to lean on, there will stand mountains to shield her.

It's time for the girl to become a woman and put away childish things.
Now she will lay her toys on the grass, calmly cast her immaturity into the fire,
And realize life is worth more than gold because this woman now knows that she wants the BLUE sky and~
And with it, there is no limit.
