I. Helen Martha (Teeny), named for two of her mothers friends, was born November 2, 1924 in the house of her grandfather, Thomas John Haddock, located almost at the end of Ferry Avenue in Billingsport, NJ. She graduated Paulsboro High School in 1943 and married Patrick Daly on June 17, 1944 in St. John's Catholic Church, Paulsboro, NJ. They had one son, Patrick Daly Jr. born March 6, 1945. Patrick Sr. died March 25, 1950 and Helen went to work for the Socony Vacuum Oil Co. to support her family. In 1952 she enrolled her son in Girard College, a facility for educating male orphans (deceased father qualified) in an effort to provide him with a better education than offered by the local school system. I must say that I failed her miserably by becoming a Boilermaker and working with the tools. Helen married again on Decenber 18, 1971 to Benjamin E. Heister (1922-1983) in the house of her brother John on Greenwhich Avenue, Billingsport, NJ. They had no children. In the early 1980's Helen was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a radical mastectomy. She lived until April 10, 1992 when she died from complications of a returning cancer, septicemia and diabetes.
II. Harriet Elizabeth (Sis), named for her mothers sister, was born June 20, 1926, also in her grandfather's house. She married Francis Joseph DiMarino(b. Jan. 26, 1924)on July 24, 1948, they had 5 children. On February 18, 2007 "Franny" her husband of 58 years,died at age 83. He was a WWII Vet, retired from ARCO after 38 years of service, and active with the Audobon Bon-Bons a drum & bugle corps. Sis died at age 90 on May 22, 2017.
III. Mary Anna, named for her grandmother (Mary Connelly Haddock) and aunt (Anna Rosaria Haddock), was born December 26, 1927. According to recent information Mary was born in the first "summer house" on the corner of Riverview ave. & Sommers Row, there were five of these cottages in all. She married Richard Anthony Magri (Aug. 8, 1929-Oct. 9, 1983) and they had 3 children. Mary also had one stillborn child named Mary Ann, in 1950. Mary fell victim to MS later in life which contributed greatly to her death on August 16, 1998.
