Gifts To Bear
'Tis a long road we travel
Through briars, streams,
Hardships, and dreams,
To find those to love and adore,
And hope to find forever more.
Our hearts we give to those we Love,
And share the joys and trials of life,
As only they can understand,
To add to the joy in our lives.
For just one piece of happiness,
We only can give what they will share,
As more would’st drain them empty,
Of any and all they care to give.
These sweet gentle flowers and trees,
Gifts of life for all to please,
Their beauty abounds and fills our needs,
Please care for them if you please.
They ask for little and nothing more,
Some sun, some food, some air, as they store,
The gifts they give us each time they bloom,
Fruit for the soul, warmth and shade forevermore.
